Nah. Foil stickers and their current design philosophy is emulating 80's style stickers that have no place on modern toys. Those old sticker designs had busy details because molds lacked the detailed sculpting that they have now on toys.

Their earlier sets from Classics, Universe 2.0 ect was the pinnacle of their design and direction, which was making sets to add to a figure, as well as fitting in by filling in actual details the toy lacked in paint or deco and blending in with the toy's look. These days it's barely even details the toys ever had to begin with, and they stand out poorly on figures now.

So, nah. But feel free to enjoy your bad taste and the unnecessary design choices they continue making. It must be working for them because they're been really sticking with this direction the last few years.

Got my full tilt set today, good stuff. He needed them more than any other figure in recent memory. Only a few of them are foil (not that anything is wrong with foil stickers applied properly).

There are a couple unnumbered black ones with some tech detail that don't show on the maps, anybody know where they go?

What's going on there. so much going on. I admit it I was a huge advocate pushing for G1 Sticker options, it's just those photos show that whoever made these was struggling really hard to figure out what to do with poor Phoenix.

    A for effort though.

D for what I'm seeing in those photos.

Hopefully, those are just possible sticker placements. the stickers along the front there just look a mess. too much going on. sometimes simple and subtle is better. what's putting me really off though, is the size of those labels with all the caution stuff and the danger stuff and the warning stuff. they are just way too big. they should be much smaller so there's more room to work with them on the toy. like the original G1 stickers they should def have transparent backgrounds on just about all of them.

instead of having grey labels around that blue cockpit canopy there. perhaps black is the way to go. instead of grey strip on the tail fins, perhaps Red would look a lot better. grey just doesn't look good on a white jet like that.

Also on the red leg vent things, would it be possible to add some metallic sky blue stickers there to mimic windows? other ideas would be adding some pilot names to some labels such as Bumblebee, spike, brawn, windcharger, sky is the limit there.

I think some sort of makeshift gun clip would be awesome too. But I know Toyhax doesn't do that sort of thing.

(a better closer look at original jetfire stickers)

If you mean to tell me they can't make more red labels to wrap around the white nose tip I'd say that's bogus. They made some amazing labels for TF Prime Decipticon red medic dude (name escapes me atm)

If we can mostly get the FT Phoenix to look like this, I'd be super thrilled.

I live in Singapore, which is even hotter and humid-er, and I've had no problems with peeling at all.

Oh, except for stickers that go over curved surfaces. Best to pre-roll the sticker a bit to fit the curvature before applying.

Oh lordy, I know. I'm surprised I didn't die of heat stroke when I was there. Strangely, the only stickers I've ever had an issue with were the ones that come with the small Bandai Star Wars vehicle kits.

If it's black with red tech detail, they're the optional alternate stickers. If it's just tech screens it's for the car cockpit. They have pics to help with placement at Toyhax.com
