I wouldnt mind some sort of boxset based on the Revolutionaries cast. GIJoe styled toys of Mayday, and Sovereign, reuse the Action Man figure. the only hiccup i'm seeing would be Kup. he'd need a leader class figure to keep a semblance of scale. (though i cant help but wonder if there is a gjoe truck vehicle that looks close enough to kup's alt mode)

I think it'd be mildly surprising for Hasbro to have their own convention and not have some exclusives. Now, that could mean just unrelated ones - a GI Joe set, a TF set, etc. - but one of the reasons to have a convention such as HasCon is to cross sell between properties. Get a new generation interested in MASK, GI Joe, Rom, by attaching them to Transformers. It would not be the worst thing in the world if they announced they'd be doing crossover sets every year at HasCon to convince people to come back, too . . .

I would legit start buying Joes and MLP if this happened.

Seems like a better fit with He-Man, but sure. Actually, have it crossover with Hearts of Steel and the Joes can be cowboys who team up w/MLP to fight the Decepticons. It'd be off the hook

As of right now, this is the most interesting thing to come out of Hascon:

The more IDWverse crossover sets the better, but.... At Joecon Depriest said that the Missile Command exclusive was shared between SDCC & Hascon, so I can assume a generalization that the same goes for all the SDCC exclusives. Very likely to just have Hascon stickers slapped over the SDCC logos.

Honestly that's what I was hoping out of this set, I get the inclusion of Roadblock so the Renegades fans have their complete cast, but I would have much rather Mayday, and they could make a Sovereign/Blackrock out of a bunch of Iron Man 2 movie molds that'll probably never see use again instead of the Dire Wraith, or even the Visionary dude. He wasn't even in the story from what I remember.
But if they made a smaller set and reused Action Man, that's fine too. Personally I'm going to use my Takara Kup for that display. Scale be damned.
Also since we're wishlisting here... I want a Dire Wraith 3 pack troop builder. With maybe a Karza Dire Wraith? Find some 6" molds somewhere that can get the job done and slap a new head on it. Y'know for all that scale I damned earlier lol

Take away the ponies, but I'd be all in on some cowboy army mens. Out of all the potential JoeCon sets out there, I'm surprised FunPub hasn't done something off the wall like that. Joe vs Cobra western theme. I'd buy the shit out of that. Cowboy ninja Snake Eyes with a vest, cowboy hat, six shooter and his katana. Man.... Wish we had a few more Joecon years left lol

You know at one point it was planned to repaint the Battle Unicron mold into Twilight Sparkle Prime but it was canceled? I want that. That definetly needs to happen now.

Obviously, I have no idea what will happen, but I think the crossover sets are an important cross-sell opportunity for Hasbro that might make them different than the more niche individual property sets. It's also somewhat incumbent upon Hasbro to create reasons to attend their brand new convention - I will not be shocked if one of the reveals at SDCC is a companion Revolutions set exclusive to Hascon - maybe a more villain-themed set?

I would pay all of the dollars for an MLP themed Revolution set featuring repainted horses from various lines.

(But then, it's just an excuse to finally get the Mach Kick mold)

It's not like the figure is rare or prohibitively expensive as it is.

With this going on, do we expect to see less/nothing at SDCC from Has?

I think we'll see about the same amount of stuff - maybe something like TR Wave 6 (all size classes), all the upcoming Generations box sets/exclusives (including anything, if at all, for HasCon), and 4-8 PotP figures at SDCC. Then at Hascon, we'll see all of Waves 1 and 2 of PotP (which would be about 20 figures across the various size classes), any MP figures coming over, and previews of Bumblebee movie toys. Just a shot in the dark

I think there will be a few things saved for Hascon, but SDCC is the biggest venue, and we already know that they're going to debut Power of the Primes there.

So, SDCC will be more substantial in terms of news - we'll see what the line's gimmick is, what subthemes it's aiming at. IE Titans Return's gimmick was Headmasters, but it had a strong Triple Changer theme with the Voyagers and Leaders.

We'll see more specific character reveals at Hascon, probably some teases along the lines of what we used to get a Botcon (think Overlord silhouette). We'll probably see some retailer specific stuff at Hascon, too - like if the Intelligence and Fireblast sets for TR exist, they may save one or both for Hascon reveals.

I think we're done with TR reveals that aren't part of box sets. I hope you're right, I'd love another full wave of TR; it's been my favorite line since 2010. But I'd bet that Slugslinger is going to be the only new character in his wave, and that the other size classes are done.

Maybe. I'm just not going to have high hopes that they'll do something like that. Everything points to shared exclusives. On one hand I hope I'm wrong. I'd love another Revolution/Revolutionaries box set, on the other hand, I don't know anyone going to Hascon and I'd rather not play the F5 game on HTS the following Monday lol
That said, maybe we'll get a Dire Wraith troop builder or something at Hascon. I know a lot of people aren't into that particular figure, but I'd pick up a couple of 3 packs just to flesh out my Revolution shelf.
