The thing i don't like about this guy is his tank mode. Cartoon accurate means he need to have hus plane cockpit in front of the tank. FT did really great job that his tank mode looks more like a real tank without that. But i want cartoon accuracy or inaccuracy.

 

I'm in the same boat. I just hope the the colors are toon accurate.

 

Personally the nosecone at the front of the tank is a mistake of the cartoon I can live with seeing corrected (and I'm all for toon accuracy, love the current TT direction, etc)! I like the more realistic looking tank - looks just enough like a real Type 74 to me that it fits with the realistic F15, etc.

If you want toon accurate hopefully you can just swivel the turret round 180 degrees and drive the tank backwards, and there you have it, since they did put the nosecone at the back! Exactly what the animation team team did with the Diaclone toy when designing the animation model!  

 

Lol, i won't turn the turret around. Since the back and front of the tank look different. Back is blocky while front goes downward.
The thing is when it is colored, we will see the planecone behind the turret. Don't know if that's a nice view or not.

 

I love the diecast, but for the sake of stability, I completely agree!

Sovereign got die- cast body and some in his legs and turns out really good.
I think FT knows what they are doing.

True. Fingers crossed. Was looking forward to having it in my grubby paws by now though seeing as release was quoted as July 2017....oh well.

 

I hear you. After the Ditka disappointment, I'm really looking forward to this guy. If I can't get Astrotrain, I want his partner in crime.

I skipped Ditka entirely in favor of this and I still am. Too bad there are no updated pics from TFCon.

 

Yea thats a bummer too because I want this to replace Ditka. And seems like now Shitka will be in my display until this comes out or Takara starts making what's in their design vault. My guess for Takara 2019 if we are lucky.

Yea I agree. It's sad cause Xtb nails the looks a bit better imo more than Ft. Imo not always but for the most part. And they finish it off with poor qc.
