They should have just called this set "Chaos on Amazon".

    Ebay:
That set looks cool and the price adds up to buying the figs separately just about, I think I only want quickswitch though.

Got my Chaos on Velocitron set from Amazon the other day and just got the chance to open it up this afternoon. The packaging is certainly intact but the condition is a little rough, but the shipping box was fine so it was likely like that before it shipped. Also, Prime's titan master was loose and floating around inside the box. Glad to have the set but MIMB collectors beware.

Agreed. One of the corners of my box is a little dinged up but nothing too bad. The weird thing is that the box has like 2 big stickers on it that have a bar code. Looks like Amazon put those there but I'm not sure why since it came in a larger box. Everything inside was intact. I also thought it was funny that it had the shiny "exclusive TRU" sticker on the box.

Damages in boxes, in some degree, are very normal from amazon.

I've only ever had one item damaged in the box from Amazon, and I've ordered a LOT from them over the last six years, so it isn't 'normal' for some of us.

I'm getting real tired of the third party sellers on Amazon as of late. It's starting to look more like eBay with the scalper pricing than what it used to be.
Veyager Megatron for $50, or Scorn and Nitro for $40 each? Leader Megatron for $70?
Yeah, get over yourself. I will never pay some of these sellers for their wares.

Actually is pretty normal and that is not an opinion. It is not just that have more than 10 years buying from Amazon.

Not a secret to anyone the lack of care that Amazon has packing items.

Well, I can honestly say the ONLY damage I've ever had was with CW Groove, and that was a wide-spread issue.
Otherwise, everything I've ever bought, from toys to computers to lawn chairs, have come in undamaged and nicely packed.

It's common for me when buying one figure to get a bent card, they do that so it fits in the box. The worst was a Prime pantry order where they shipped a case of Dew with a broken can. Ruined everything

    Yeap totally normal with Amazon.

We have to be clear, if we want immaculate boxes, Amazon is not the option. If you don't need that, there is no problem.

    More collector oriented stores.

The reason the prices are so high is Amazon has some insanely high fees.

The high fees are a part of it but the bigger cause is because they know people will pay the prices. Some say this started with the Power of the Force line, I say it goes back to the Dragonzord.

Then maybe they should focus on selling more items to make up for the costs instead of trying to gouge their customers? Besides, high fees or no, how do you justify a $18 Titan Master?

get a clue.....more selling is not going to lower a feee that amazon charges its sellers....the seller is going to charge higher prices due to the fee being high as no one is going to sell an item and lose money doing it....so you are looking at usually retail price plus higher markup to cover the fees and shipping cost because the shipping allowance that amazon collects is a joke and does not cover shiping items at all.

In general, yes. The odd thing, however, is when I purchase Bandai Sentai mecha from 3rd party sellers with Amazon fulfillment, I've yet to have a single box or card come with even a little bit of damage. But I once received a WFC figure with its card crumpled so bad that the figure inside was bent over backward. The figure ended up being just fine and was quite mint, but yeah...wow.

SOC Voltron was shipped and sold by Amazon and it was packaged Immaculately.
