I would have much rather Megatron have the proper toy faction symbol instead of the cartoon version. But this MP36 is way way better looking than MP-05 Megatron. Who knows, they may do a silver metallic variant and use the toy faction symbol on it.

Thank's got the advise. I thought as much but can't for the life of me get it to work! It's baffling to me why they designed it this way....but then theres a lot about this figure that is baffling to me. I've never been so simultaneously and in equal measure both blown away by, but also hugely disappointed by a figure.

Yeah, it's a strange method of connecting a stand. My reasoning is they must have designed it that way for a secure hold on a decently weighted figure, though they probably could have a ccomplished that some other way.

Whenever I figure out how to detach mine maybe I'll put something together that shows how it works. All I can remember is that once I realized that post doesn't plug into a hole I was able to snap it in place. I think it took a little force, but was relatively easy once I had it positioned properly.

Cheers. Maybe I'm missing something but try as I might I can't attach the stand, worse still I'm slowly scratching and damaging the figure trying to force it. Much like the damage I've don't to the barrel simply by attaching the silencer the way TT describe in the instruction...pretty unacceptable stuff really.

@Xaxis , sorry to hear you can't get yours out, man. It does take a good bit of force, if you got it in it should come out. The trick to pegging and unpegging him besides using a lot of force I've found is getting it at the right angle, about 45 degrees. It was scary at first and I thought mine was impossible to attach, I couldn't do it for about a week after getting him, but force + angle did it.

@Dean ML this helps, not a lot but it helps. What needs to be at 45 degrees to what exactly? Does pulling the back of the cloche area open help? I'm starting to think it's not worth the effort, which in turn makes me a bit sad. I'm worried Im going to keep trying until I damage something, just like I did with there silencer... It's going to make me angry I suspect.

Edit1: I finally did it, you are right, totally unnecessary force is the key, what a terrible piece if design.

Edit2: that said he looks fantastic posed on the stand...I've never been so conflicted over a figure and for so long. I can't decided if I love him or hate him...

Opening his butt panels won't hurt, it'll definitely ensure nothing's in the way. Try looking at these videos if you haven't already. He attaches it at the 31min mark here...

    And about 16:30 here...

Ah - ! You did it! Great news! The flight stand is one of my favorite things about the figure. Hope you have fun messing around with it! I know I do!

I really like the stand.... I still think the way it connects is bloody stupid though.

Thanks, man. I'll have to try again and see if I can get the right combination of angle and force. It feels like I'm going to snap something trying to pull it off, I really don't want to break anything.

I just tried removing it again and I'm happy to report it was easy. I must have been doing something wrong before.

This time I braced my thumb against the bottom part that slides under his pelvis, held the top part of the stand and pulled. It popped right off.

Goodness! MP-36 looks like a revoltech in those pictures! The sheer size of OS is astounding.

Finally sold my MP-36 and shipped it out today. Part of me regrets it and most of me doesn't. The high waist and chest, the odd 'slit' on the front of his diaper, the fact that I couldn't transform it without risking damage, etc. I'll definitely entertain a cheaper priced toy/chrome deco minus the stock/silencer if it ever happens. If not, I'm $200 richer and Apollyon still looks good on the shelf.
