I'm regretful that this book is ending prematurely but after watching 3 mediocre quarters pass by before Scott brought her A game, you really can't blame IDW or the consumers for this situation IMO. But then again they'll probably allow Bay to make the 6th Bayformer film after the Bee solo if he's up for doing it, despite this current one shitting the bed box office wise. So 2nd chances are subjective.
They keep calling it cancelled but it wasn't really so much that is was cancelled in the usual sense. They asked Scott if she wanted to continue the title after this arc with another cast and she said no. And they've kept her around for co-writing their next big crossover event, sooo...
The "continue the title after this arc with another cast" part makes it as good as dead though since it was likely something stupid like the "Rebirth of Bumblebee". Which you know is coming courtesy of that damn Spinoff film next Summer.
What's really sad is going back and re-reading Barber's first 25 issues or so of RID and seeing so many dropped plot lines and missed opportunities for the political intrigue on rebuilding Cybertron. I liked this series but the whole comics universe is circling the drain.
