Yeah but it's a hunk of plastic that was designed and crafted by someone with the skills to do so. I get not finding the price agreeable, but to imply that the time and work that goes into making these things doesn't have any value is what's actually nuts.

Let me tell you that the parts that Azim (and Nonnef too) make are A STEAL compared to the shapeways crap. I'm so upset because I ordered the new "hi def" heads for CW Reprolabels Exhaust, Flame, and Skyjack from Steamshield, who has awesome designs... and the parts are still gritty (though not as gritty as the normal shapeways parts) and almost sticky and smell funny. Worst of all, they're a pain in the ass to paint. They also don't seem to fit right. I took them off and put the sticker heads back on. I wish Steamshield had a way to make his like Azim does... Or I wish Azim would tackle the Reprolabels combiner...

Sorry for the tangent, but for the money, these parts are great AND he stands behind his work. Now if he would do Magnaboss... :lol

I agree about the price, but it's worth remembering that with smaller operations, cost of materials, manufacturing, and the desire to make a profit all come together to make the price. Larger production runs can, if successful, make the prices offered cheaper, but smaller ones cannot. That's why even Botcon prices were more expensive, as they were smaller production runs. Larger companies can also use savings, etc to cover costs, while smaller, home-run business cannot.

Although I don't usually buy such smaller, expensive items, it's all a matter of budget and desire for certain products. One month, it might be 100 pounds on 1 third party figure, the next month the same on four official figures and the third month the same amount on some Shapeways/Renderform/Reprolabels/Perfect Effect posts and stickers for the previously bought figures.

Oh yeah, I understand that. I can usually get behind that, but the value just isn't there for me. I could buy a Glyos figure for $7, and those also aren't exactly the most massively produced toyline in the world.

I understand. I paid, including shipping, about 100 dollars for the headmasters weapons set and a Galvatron head/gun set. This is my first time with Renderform, so it's an experiment for me. If the quality isn't there, I won't be doing it again.

When I first bought a pair of guns for Powermaster Optimus Prime from Shapeways, it was also an experiment. The main reason I'm going here is because bigger third party companies haven't pulled their fingers out yet.

Also, there hasn't been a large amount of official Takara CHUG figures, not KO/third part figure out that I want, so I thought I'd experiment with Renderform. If there were more toys out, I probably wouldn't.

Venksta treats you right. I'm fine paying the prices because I know its going to be good stuff

Sides, I get my money's worth out of upgrades for my CHUG stuff than I'd be getting throwing down money into the endless 3rd party MP ouroboros going on right now

(Though let's not talk about my Glyos collection cause, yeah, that's a thing as well...)

All orders with just these and the Onslaught rifles should be shipped out by end of the month. I'll post some WIP photos when I'm close to wrapping up. :)

    Hey @Venksta

Will you be putting up a set of these for the Legends versions of the figures?

I remember seeing on Facebook that he was going to do Legends versions. Hoping I'll be able to add the others to my order for the Legends Brainstorm guns.

Not to diss the designers and makers of these kits, but at some point you got to stop and think if it's worth spending that money (which could be 50-120% the price of what your spent on the original toy), just to get some minor upgrades for your Hasbro figures.

I would love to have these upgrades, but ultimately I can't justify paying the asking price. Not because i feel the designers don't deserve it, but the original figures themselves aren't amazing enough to justify spending that amount of money to upgrade them.
