Since when is legally earning money a "scam"?

 

Scalping isn't necessarily legal everywhere

 

Howso? What law are you breaking by legally buying something with your own money and then re-selling it?

 

There are laws against ticket scalping (Especially in regards to using software to automate buying large volumes at once and then going on to resale), so there are laws against scalping. Not specifically low end stuff like this, but they're still there

 

It's kind of obvious what someone's intentions are when they completely buy every figure at once. Does an individual need 3 Hounds and 4 Megatrons. Resale at higher prices.

Patiently waiting while Megatron shows up in a store in NW Ohio.

 

Obvious? Yes. Illegal? Doubtful.

 

It is kind of annoying when someone buys all of them in multiple stores. Seriously, I just want 1 hot rod and 1 megatron. Is that so much to ask for? ...ok maybe just 1 crosshairs... and a drift... I might get hound too... oh, what the heck, I\'ll take \'em all! They all look fantastic  

 

Same here, i think its f*d up myself. Nobody needs 3 megatron\'s or 3 hound\'s. Give someone else a chance to get one.. Illegal, no. Immoral, yes...

You could say "scam" is the wrong word, but I think you understood his intentions. Buying all the copies is immoral. AND it damages the toy industry. Do you have any notion of how many customers get frustrated when they go to their local StoreX and do NOT find a product they want? That frustration will turn into online sales, which then hurts their local store. The local store sees less turnover on their stock and thus order less (because it's likely the restock will be earlier waves of junk, NOT the same product bought up by the scalper).

The retail distribution system is so messed up in the States right now that I'd argue ANY interference is disastrous to the industry. And yes, ONE GUY buying all the new stock is interference. It's gasoline in the raging inferno.

There's really no need to justify his actions just because your home hasn't been hit by the fire yet!  

I love it when they say it's for "friends"!   I mean, I like imagining their "friends".   Because scalping is a bit of a solitary, oddball thing. Healthy people work hard or get a better job for more income; scalping toys... wow.   It's not contempt, it's math. Scalping looks a lot more profitable than it is (CA minimum wage is increasing!).

 

Looking at those pictures of the 4 Megatron and 3 Hound being bought by only 1 person makes me very sad for other people searching for them.

But hey, at least it was in California, the land where Transformers strike first and stay there for months at a time before hiting your own home state of whatever 3 months later.

 

Hello, any ideas when the wave2 is gonna be relased in Romania? I searched every where and didn\'t found 

 

So... wave 2 voyager hit Florida a few days ago. But its like 65-70 miles away from me so... no. Until its actually a reasonable distance from me.

 

They're starting to show up at TRU as well. I found them at two locations in Los Angeles within the last couple of days.

 

Lol...I hear ya bro. The movie sucked but I'm still hoping for 1 Nitro Zeus and 1 Cogman just because those are two of the coolest molds I've seen in awhile.

I'd just keep checking Walmart.com for the Hot Rod. They were sold out last time I checked but I'm sure they'll restock soon. Especially after how fast the first batch sold out
