I'm still debating if I get this one or wait for a DOTM version. The problem is that I don't have a Movieverse Prime and this one looks SO good in robot mode. MPM Bee is lonely too...

I think that somewhere in the Ark where no one else know about it Optimus has a wall decorated in the faces of his enemies sort of like the Predators did in the second movie.

Thanks for clearing it up:)  and crushing my last hope for this figure in terms of differentiating a good fig and a bad fig.
I guess it will come down to "lucky draw" :/

My guess is that the first of production was the affected (?.

What i mean is that the first copys they bought at singapore were the affected in QC wise, when TCracker bought another, it was a fine copy.
Is just a theory, or maybe it is a variable proble.

    Thx to clear that.

Don't think I've ever been this conflicted over a figure, especially a masterpiece one. The figure looks amazing one minute then worrying the next. The paint looks great in some areas, then lacking in others. A lot of stuff like the lack of blue on the feet could be solved with stickers (I would avoid paint because painting a masterpiece seems like admitting its flaws). The other option is to wait for the inevitable repaints, but how many years would we have to wait? (I'd bet on 2019 for the ROTF anniversary, so at least 2 years).

The major problem is of course the QC issues. Granted the newer ones seem to be a little more consistent from what we've heard. However, there are things on this figure that look like they could be improved, the backpack and fuel tanks could be improved, the shoulders could be more accurate, and even the forearms. these changes could be released as 3rd part upgrades, or incorporated in a full upgraded KO.

Ultimately the question is, do you buy now? Do you wait for a kit to improve it? Wait for a possible official update? Or get a 3rd party KO figure?
A lot of questions, a lot of speculation, and no answers.

And on a final note, some of the photos of it look amazing and make me for get the minor gripes, and send me back to square one! :)

    Hey there:

It's kind of cool seeing my pics pop up on these forums of all places.
I made an account mainly so I could be on the lookout on the sightings forums, but anyway, back to the matter at hand:
I've only transformed prime once and actually didn't do a good job at it, it was quick, sloppy and I didn't pay much attention; Therefore the end result is not the most reliable, it didnt peg very well.
Right now I'm about to board a plane back to Mexico City, there I will check the figure more steadily and video review it (I have a YouTube review channel in Spanish) and I will be happy to report any questions you might have about my sample in particular.

Yeah me too, Bumblee bee is awesome. I'm really glad i got him and i want prime to be just as awesome. I thought of the sticker thing too, reprolabels could probably make a great set for him. and as long as everything tabs in fine i would be more on board. I dont want the hassle of going through getting a replacement. really if he tabs in well in both modes i still kind of have a problem with the gaps he has on the back of his cab but again the robot mode is so worth it and i love the transformation. if i knew for sure there would be a dark of the moon version i would wait for sure. but i so want to pull the trigger on this guy. If anything else to support the line because oh how i want more figures (Blackout).

I really wonder how many of the design choices (and lack of accessories) were due to the budgetary constraints of having to make this a standard release for both the US and Japanese markets... Wonder what this would be like it it were like the other MPs...

Interesting. I'd like to hear some opinions from you and other fellow members. If not for the budgetary constraints, what do you think could have been done differently, and what would the final cost have been/would it be justifiable to a larger audience (edit: or even just yourself)?

As far as I've fiddled with my prime, the only detail I have seen is that the chest pieces (the ones that retract and form the hood pieces) don't tab properly into their respective slots. Does that happen to all of you guys or I got one with dodgy QC?
