Movie Masterpiece Bumblebee in stock at Amazon Spain, Optimus Prime expected in two weeks

    Greetings, fellow Europeans!

    In the past, Amazon Spain got several great deals for figures with otherwise limited availability in Europe. They had several of the 2015-2016 Platinum Editions (I personally got the "Autobot Heroes" set from there) as well as the ''Combiner Wars'' Computron set.

    Now they have the Movie Masterpieces listed. Unless I'm mistaken, these are the first official listings for Europe.
    MPM-3 Bumblebee for 101.83 Euros, now in stock!
    MPM-4 Optimus Prime for 128.88 Euros, expected in stock on July 10.

    I can log into Amazon Spain with my existing German Amazon account. The same should apply to any other European Amazon account.

    Expect some additional costs for international shipping, but most likely below 10 Euros per figure.

    Also, Amazon Spain only accepts payments via credit card (or Amazon Spain gift cards).

    Great news for our fellow European friends!
    Does this mean that Amazon, for those in the United States, will also carry this?
    Trying to get one from TRU (from previous experience- Soundwave and Starscream) was a royal pain in my ass!
    I would rather buy one, with little hassle from Amazon.

    Availability in Europe does not automatically translate into availability in the United States.

    For now, the Movie Masterpieces are officially Toys"R"Us exclusives in the US, but that doesn't mean they won't become available at Amazon later, as recently shown by the "Chaos on Velocitron" set.

    Seriously though, if someone could alert me the moment this is spotted in a TRU in America, please alert me because this figure means more to me than you could imagine. As a kid I missed out on getting ROTF Prime, and if someone could alert me right away the moment it is identified so I can get on it. I keep refreshing pages constantly every day to see if it is here. It has become an unhealthy addiction for me. I ask my fellow Transformer fan friends to please help me out.

    I'd reckon September-ish is when it'll hit domestically. Your name's not that common, so please PM me and I'll tag you when sightings of this thing hits town. I offered this up to another member with TLK Voyager Megs and TLK DLX Hot Rod, so it's nothing new and won't inconvenience me

    Hey, if you get it, do me a favor and take some photos of the packaging. I'm curious whether this comes in actual European packaging or as an official import with a sticker over the barcode.

    It seems to be in the Global Shipping program (or at least this link is: Transformers 5 - Masterpiece Bumblebee (Hasbro C0892EU4): Amazon.es: Juguetes y juegos) so it should mean free European shipping.

    So what are the QC issues with Bumblebee exactly? I picked mine up from a Canadian Toys R Us on Sunday and so far the only problem apart from a few sloppy paint apps are that the shoulders don't really stay up very well.

    So here's the full breakdown from memory, might've missed a few. Please note some of these were one-time occurrences and may not be frequent QC problems
    • uncertainty as to whether BB's arms should be ratcheted
    • sloppy paint apps/paint chipping
    • missing side pipes
    • floppy ankles (some cases it's bad QC, other times it's bad engineering)
    • parts mis-assembly (a member got a version where the inner bicep piece was put on backwards, but was an easy reparable mistake. However, another unfortunate member got two right forearms )
    • loose leg joints and/or door wings
    • another reparable problem is gaps between the car and hood stripe section, which can be fixed by tightening a screw
