I loved Woody Woodpecker when I was a kid, so I appreciate that his design (at the very least) is on point.
Must be a Canadian production. Timothy Omundson is in it. Most of his work is done in Canada. He had an incredibly brief stint in the US produced SeaQuestDSV. Wasn't until Psych and Gallivant that he became more known. Still, this has direct to video written all over it. Ugh.
Ignoring the main issue, that's my least favorite Woody design and least favorite laugh. Hated that cutesy design of his later years. Those two are my absolute favorites.
I sure as shit didn't see it coming. I know the answer already but still feel compelled to ask. Whyyyy? I totally used to love Woody Woodpecker though. And Chilly Willy the Penguin. I bet he's next on the chopping block.
I remember Woody Woodpecker frkm somewhere when I was a kid. I'm 19, but I don't remember ever seeing any old re-runs. Weird.
I think Woody (or Pica) looks pretty good, I just don't understand why they didn't go for an all-CG animated movie. I'd much rather see him messing with other familiar animated characters. Did these people see Yogi Bear and think this would be a good idea?
It's like they take a classic cartoon property and put it in the SAME EXACT movie mold maker/meat grinder/pot of crap/I don't know. Smurfs, Yogi Bear, Alvin and the Chipmunks, it's the Same. Exact. Movie. Every time. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Not as horrible as I thought it'd be. It introduces him to new audiences without bastardizing him and keeps his Looney Tunes antics.
