Ah don't tempt me, I'm just buying Artfire to give his head to Grapple! Really cool to see him with the other Diaclones, was waiting for shots like that. Does he fit on Magnus's trailer? Good to see you around again, you must be so busy with your blog and social media (check your insta messages )
I'm sure you saw this in the review, but here's one for you if you like the accessories. I thought it was cool to see all of Inferno, Grapple & Artfire's accessories lined up. Quite the arsenal. And glad you like the Diaclone pic. I actually haven't even tried to see if he will fit on Magnus' trailer so that might be worth a go! I wouldn't imagine he would, but worth a try... Oh, and thanks for the nice note. Yeah, I have been pretty busy, but with real life too... work, family etc. I will try and be around a bit more. And yes, I will check my messages!
I must touch in with the owner, but do I know he's a lot busier these days so has less time than before. I think he was also working on translating the back catalogue of previous releases, which is quite an undertaking. Still curious how they explained Artfire's apparent rivalry with Soundblaster. Love this shot. And love how many accessories we're getting these days as a standard with releases, they don't add much to the cost but they add a lot to playability - I'm crazy about those alternate faces!
I really think the extra amount of accessories we're receiving these days is fantastic. They make for such a lot of extra play value with these releases. Ratchet/Ironhide were another great example of this, of course.
I hope I'm not being a selfish person here but I was just thinking how I wished Soundwave's Oblivion would narrow their focus a lot more. If they were dedicated to translating all Bios that would give us an extremely useful resource. Also the pics of G1 figures with their MP counterparts are very nice as well. I know that a blog should always be done for yourself and never to appease audiences, because it's a labor of love most of the time, but still. The community could benefit greatly from this person's abilities and resources.
Yeah, I've said it before but I almost feel like Ratchet's plethora of accessories was Takara making up for short-changing Wheeljack The engineer finally gets his damn spanner!
It's totally worth sending him a message letting him know that, he's quite receptive to feedback and generally a really nice guy. The translated Bios really are great, although they are a little hard to find in his website, I agree there. Isn't it great to have a community full of people who are willing to make time for translations, taking excellent photographs, all at a professional standard - and all for free!
I've never even considered mixing accessories, and Ratchet/Wheeljack is a fantastic example. I'm sure he'd accept my advice and constructive criticism, but I'd still feel slightly prickish hahaha.
Heh, well if you like I'll mention it to him the next time I get in touch, reported prickishness might come across better With Ratchet I've got wrenches and a spanner for Wheeljack, now with Grapple on the way I've got a little screwdriver too. Now I just need Takara to get on with giving me MP-20+ already!!
I've not been one to mix accessories myself, not sure why. Recently I was fiddling with Ironhide and Sideswipe together and now I have them displayed with Sideswipe holding both of Ironhide's pistols and Ironhide with Sideswipe's rifle. They look great, especially Sideswipe!
I'd have posted a photo but I'm on vacation and away from my collection. I thought I might have a photo in my phone but nope. If nobody's set this up and posted a pic by the time I'm back home, I'll make sure to follow up accordingly.
Seeing these Takara MP accessories laid out like that makes me really wish there was a way we could order extra parts/accessories from Takara like we can from most 3P companies. It sucks that we can't.
Gonna need a footlocker just to store all these accessories. Don't give them any ideas! My wallet is already crying uncle.
Nice review Seems you've forgotten the step of pushing out those circular parts in the thighs, they can be pushed towards the outside of the legs.
