This is incredibly disappointing. I have Buster Prime (and a face plate head from a broken ROTF mold) so it was always a hard sell but it appears the Buster alt mode is better and the faults of the bot mode are equivalent to the faults of the MPM mold.

I won't be rushing to get this one.

Just saw this pic. I'm back to square one... that's amazing.

 

yeah i agree. I have Buster too and mpm should be better in both modes. The tabbing is the biggest concern. I can forgive some of the gaps in vehicle mode but not that things dont tab in right. Can't wait for my BB to get here though.

Well, I am a bot man. The bot mode is way more important. While I would like the alt mode to be perfect to, I can deal with some alt mode sacrifices if the bot is great. He looks great.

What I am trying to say is that if I somehow transcend my basic human form and become a God, I would require alt mode sacrifices to appease me. I will punish those that sacrifice robot mode. *looks at MP seeker mold with angry eyes

I think I am going to wait until September and see what the USA Hasbro or Japan Takara release looks like. While this one looks the part the lack of key paint details and vehicle mode tabbing issues are giving me a little pause and causing me to hope the later releases are better.

I have recently gotten the MB-11 Optimus this year and I find its paint and detailing are more complete than MPM and the alt mode is flawless.


Will I still end up getting MPM. Most likely as I am a complex transformation junkie, but I want the best version of MPM and if there is a chance the later release will be better, I'll wait.

 

You and me both, I guess we'll be waiting to till September for the later release, but I'll probably be getting bee I'm Japan because of how solid it is

 

I already have BB from Chosen Prime. I am just waiting for Titan Trypticon to hit so I can ship them both together. The wait might just kill me.

 

The lack of paint on the diecast feet just make it look incomplete. The lack of paint on the molded arm springs make the figure look incomplete. The lack of autobot symbol and other paint on the diecast midsection makes the figure look incomplete. The half painted gas tanks make the figure look incomplete. The unpainted underside of the forearms make it look incomplete.

Either the complexity/price point of the figure is the reason for the lack of paint apps or because the Singapore release was a rush job, but either way I will wait and hope Takara puts a little more polish on the figure. I would gladly pay $10-15 more for more paint detailing.
