Well the aerialbots on the Hasbro ones are painted white, the plastic is clear blue. Since Takara changed the clear blue to grey, the Takara aerialbots are unpainted and grey.

And the problem with the Hasbro ones is that the paint they used is super thick. I want to paint them up but I have to strip the whole deal before I do that.

In that regard I'd love to get a sprue of the Takara ones. It'd save me the effort of stripping the paint.

But in terms of realistic standard military aircraft, they should be light to medium gray in color.

That's why you should use Gundam Markers.

He does look great. I recently got Hasbro Sixshot and gave him the Dr. Wu upgrade kit (which includes an improved head/helmet), and he's awesome, but I really dig the colors on LG Sixshot too.

On the sides, most likely, but not on top.

    Agreed.

I said it more than once; from the moment I'd seen TR Sixshot, I was wishing Hasbro had gone with the colours below (white thighs and underside of wolf-claws, purple shins, silver hubcaps, etc):

It's great to see that Takara's Sixshot mostly nails the above (I get why Takara went more blue than green, given Masterforce).

Interesting to see how some of the detailing from the Hasbro artwork made it on the Takara Sixshot. The white wolf claws in robot mode and white thighs as mentioned, but also small stuff like the panels on the upper legs, Takara painted them up in the exact same way while the ones on Hasbro's Sixshot are silver.

Anyways, I'm game for the Takara Sixshot as well. I'm actually really excited to see the special packaging they mentioned. If it's really a G1-esque box with updated art and product shots and stuff (as the little sneak peak of the artwork suggests) I would be really happy. I'm a sucker for good packaging.

    *Headmasters ;)

Which is actually the reason why I think Sixshot's new Headmaster gimmick is a great bonus for this figure. You can transform him without ever utilizing it if you don't want to, but having the (arguably) most prominent villain from the Japanese Headmasters show as a Headmaster himself makes perfect sense to me.

Like the lost son of Planet Master or something. Would’ve made for a fun twist in the show, especially later on when he becomes an ally of sorts.

That's fine by me as I was a planning to buy LG Doublecross anyway. Beats having to buy LG Blurr all over again.

    Ha! They finally acknowledged it!

Exactly! Problem is, I don't think we have many releases left for TT to include Fracas with... The Jumpstarters? Blitzwing? Windblade?

I think TakaraTomy's Jumpstarters are likely to come with the Shuffler and Sawback Titanmaster vehicles. A Targetmaster gun would seem out of place for Windblade.

They've already done 3 Targetmasters for each faction. I don't really see them doing more but I could be wrong.

Could the gun mount below the shield in car mode though?

I was counting on them doing that so I ordered doublecross the other day also. They probably planned on releasing him anyway survey or not. I have to be careful these LG targetmaster are slowly sucking me back in.
