Has there been any real confirmation this will be a Target exclusive or is that just the rumor?

Anyway, I never got this mold the first go round and the gimmick gives me the nostalgia feelz. I'll take it!

 

Does anybody else think the QR-code pattern on his hood and the roof of the cab are flat ugly?

 

This is one of those "It looks ridiculous and I need it" purchases for me

Yeah, but they are supposed to reveal some sort of image when you put the red translucent weapons over them--kinda like the old G1 tech specs.

 

If only that mold was good. Oh well.

And why is half of him is made of translucent red plastic.

 

I'll admit this is poorly planned but the red grille and tires are actually a nice touch. It's those gas tanks and the weird pattern on top that throw it off. Still, I'm also feeling that "it's so bad I want it" vibe though I do wish they'd dropped that standard blue for some other funky color.

 

I wouldn't mind a wild repaint of that mold into someone else

This was a weird, flawed mold but it did some alright things too, much like nitro Bumblebee (it managed to do the elusive wheel-inside-the-leg thing for example). I remember this one having an interesting transformation and being very well articulated. Good accessories too (it had the best mechtech weapon outta them all, and the new shield and sword look cool too, are they reused from something else?)

I don't like the new colors very much, however.

 

Yeah, the problem is with this Exclusive "Sub-Line" is that bizarre Pop-Tart looking "Deco" that most of the toys have to use that "Retro Tech-spec Styled Gimmick" I can over look the Clear Red Parts and such, but it's the "Colorful Pattern" that's kinda a turn off.

 

Hasbro trying hard here to appeal to the dollar shop KO buyers. Hopefully the packaging misspells something like "Tanformers Bigking Optus Prome".

It looks so bad that it could be very good in my eyes.

 

Wow!  Recolor it, sprinkle some glitter on it, repackage it and add a higher sticker price to boot.  They\'re really milking the old molds huh.
