Only reading 3 pages of these last few, I got a few things to say. I highly doubt he meant Hasbro making Hi end FansToys level MP in scale Omega Supreme's.  
I think he just means rubber tires, pinned on wheels, higher levels of paint on a similar sculpt. Then again the cost of making parts today is considerably higher so it has to be budgeted in somewhere it's not like they can just snap their fingers and make it happen. But I think with enough fan demand, and emails/letters/threads/videos/Vlogs/petitions
& proof of concept thar it will work and that there IS a demand, ...then anything can happen. I'm guessing, "Zap" for short, (What's up bro? , doesn't really collect the movie toys because those are the most aimed towards this market we have at the moment. Pinned on wheels, high levels of paint, and engineered with higher build quality and quality control then any lines in the past 3 years or possibly more. But he is right, Hasbro does cater towards kids and even know they "Claim" to have started to sell adult products they clearly say ages 8 and up is their adult products. Which we all know is NOT an adult. YES i know they were oncw 5+ and 6+ ive been is this game since its inception. But Mattel, Funko, and NECA to name a few, label their toys "adult collectibles 16+", so why can't Hasbro do a adult based line? Even their Masterpiece line is still not quite Masterpiece imo. My Hasbro MP-10's don't hold the level of quality that my TakaraTomy Masterpieces hold. Yes their cars are close, but still sloppier paint, looser joints, and 1 step down on the plastic.

SO, What qualifies as adult? They wouldn't be able to cut as many corners? Idk but that part seems unlikely. It's probably more under the banner that they are multi billion conglomerate company that can't profit off such endeavors so they just do their best to throw us bones. I'm telling y'all IF THEY KNEW THEY 100% COULD PROFIT, they certainly WOULD do just that. Adult level of quality as well. But I'm sure they would still cut corners so not just buy from TakaraTomy?

 

Nope.

That was his body and he died. Skids killed him. It's the nature of the Legends Universe (and what makes it so valuable) is that desire determines reality; Rattrap and the others became Transformers because they wished it hard enough. All the assembled TF's there, Rattrap, Rhinox, Blackarachnia, Slipstream (especially those two as he was preventing Skids from taking them), etc. all didn't want him to be dead, enough to create the smaller body for him to live again.

Then his smaller body was adapted to the Headmaster process by Tarantulas and he was "gifted" the Galvatron Transtector to use.

There's a bit more to it, but yeah, it's weird and interesting at the same time IMHO.

 

But did the comic explicitly state this? Because I don't recall that. I do know about Skids killing him and Legends Tarantulas and the Galvatron transtector, but nothing about a specific reason behind why tiny Megatron emerged from his CW body. I'm not trying to argue; I'm just interested in this.

 

No it's fine. I don't have the translation on-hand at the moment, but I recall it not being overtly stated, but somewhat implied (and a lead-in to the whole Headmaster era in Legends); no one was expecting tiny Megatron, but that he suddenly existed after all of them cried is one of those situations where it's kind of connect the dots on it.

Also you've got Megatron being just as surprised and unsure about his smaller form in the next issue it seems to be another connection to the idea that wasn't his form before, nor was he transtecting the prior body as he commented on Tarantulas turning him into the Headmaster with the backpack head.

 

Gotcha. Yeah, it's kind of vague about the explanation, but your take makes sense. My take was that because I thought the CW body was a transtector, that his G-2 purple tank body was also a transtector and that the tiny version of Megatron was actually his Action Master body.

The thing is they don't even cater towards kids properly, instead of making colorful and detailed toys that will attract kids like they used to do, they investing in stupid app game as if kids can't get a lot app games for free and make the actual toy (which is the actual main selling point) look like a boring cheap chunk of plastic.

 

Takaramasters anyone???

 

I preordered LG Doublecross for USD 30 includ. shipping, despite being unsure about how Haywire would look pegged onto the side of Blurr in vehicle mode. Guess we'll see, if it doesn't work out Ill have to sell him because Im quite happy with Hasbro Twinferno. Wish he came with a new vehicle front for Blurr with a weapons peg on top...

I know right?! I REALLY hope they don't do that shit again in the reboot. I have a feeling the reboot won't be around until a year after because of the development they've been doing with the Classics line, Masterpiece line (G1, Beast Wars, AND TF2007), PLUS the The Last Knight movie line up!

Its how it was with Animated, and Prime. The movies take precedence. As it should be side rhey generate the most sales.

 

Thanks for the very helpful photo comparison. I am a big six shot fan, and am tempted by the Takara version. However I have seen the hasbro version in person and the teal paint color is perfect for me. That color is a very good likeness of the original G1 toy and that is what I am looking to get. The blue of the Takara version feels off to me, so I think I am going hasbro on this one. I the Takara headsculpt is nice, but I am trying to avoid the double dip here.

 

That's odd. Just grabbed the Hasbro version off the shelf and I'd say it is more green than teal, where the Takara version looks more like teal in the picture.

I'm sticking with the Hasbro one too
