Swapped the legs on the TM. With Backdraft labels

 

Woohoo! I just got mine in the mail! Got to head out for the day but I can't wait to get home and open this guy up!

 

Just got this guy yesterday but just got to him today. I gotta say he looks really nice. The legs on Nightbeam are really flimsy and the cannon on the back is really flimsy as well. It almost doesn't want to stay up on his back. As for the clear version, his arms were on backwards and I couldn't get the transformation correct until I changed them around. Otherwise he's a solid little dude. As for Kojin when he came out of the box, he wasn't completely tabbed all the way around. I noticed on the one side there was a tab that wasn't tabbing in, not even at all. I think there's flash in the way or something. I'm gonna have to take a further look when I get more time but for the time being he's gonna be in bot mode so it's ok. The piece behind his head doesn't completely close completely either. I have the other 3 perfectly closed but this one. It's close but not closed the entire way. I guess I can live with that. It's not that noticeable. Everything else about him was pretty good. The only other problem I may have had was the same I've heard others say and that was that the target masters don't really fit in his hands that well. I was looking for a snap or something but nope. So, the clear one is just sort of sitting in his hand as best as I could get him in there.

Regardless, I'm still glad I got Kojin. My collection of all 4 MMC molds are complete. I couldn't be happier.

 

Very happy with Kojin, but not so much with Nightbeam. The legs on mine also came misconfigured so I had to swap them. The tab on the back end of the barrel of the gun does not want to stay connected to the waist when in gun mode. The feet have a difficult time tucking into the hallow back area of the lower leg, also necessary for gun mode. Speaking of gun mode, having a difficult time of Kojin wielding Nightbeat. Maybe if the raised part of the gun handle were lower instead of higher it could work.

Overall I'm satisfied with my purchase, just disappointed in the execution of the Target Master. Meanwhile Kojin seems to be flawless.

 

Argh! Figure arrived today, looks beautiful, but my Targetmaster has two right arms!

Gotta reach out for help, I guess...

 

For something MMC produces in limited quantities, it's pretty disappointing that they didn't put more effort on the Target Masters.

 

kojin is great. nitebeam leaves a lot to be desired. he's flimsy and over engineered. would have prefered him be simple and sturdy like hasbro's little bots. gun mode is a mess. his hips in robot mode have already loosened really badly.

 

I am going to take MMC up on the following:
"Any qc issues discovered will be warrantied for a period of 1 year after receiving the product."

 

You should bring it up to them that most of us who have him have caught that the TM's don't fit in the hands well and see if they can remedy it and will help us out. Eh.. if you have any luck, please post and let us know. I may also do the same. It's just a bummer that most of the issues are just with the target master.

 

Hei guys, just received my Kojin, but I didn't see the clear Targetmaster. How is he packaged? Is he in the clear bag with the guns, the wings, etc. I've double checked the box and the packaging and no luck  

Not to mention the paint is very sloppy on my copy. I am giving up on MMC.

I don't see any small boxes. I really hate this because it's going to look as if I am trying to get 2 clear target masters although the reality is that it's not inside the packaging.

 

Well, I do like the figure...but boy oh boy, this was not one of MMC's finest hours. A few stress marks on the plastic, one of the mirrors was popped off, and a little bit of mold flashing.

EDIT: Going to ask this now, since I don't have much experience with this mold. How the heck do you get the head canopy to fully collapse without a gap? Driving me nuts.

Figured it out. Some wonderful mold flash was blocking a peg that is supposed to tab in. On top of that, the head canopy doesn't really lock into place around his head. I don't recall this being a problem with Backdraft. Anyone else having these problems?

 

Is this guys still available for purchase anywhere?

 

It seemed to be an exclusive limited run for those that ordered it a couple of months ago...but you never know.

 

I'd expect A3U to have some available at their booth at TFCon Toronto.

Alternately, it's possible PSExpress will offer some as well.

 

Those stickers work pretty good I have to say. Even like the big contrast on the feet.

I was under the impression ocular max pretty much already said there will be a small number of these available for sale at Tfcon and through psx eventually .. just without The clear targetmaster the kickstarter backers got.. and at a slightly higher price than they paid
