Comic opinion was quite interesting giving how us at the Europa podcast had a much more mixed response. Certainly to Lost Light. INTRIGUING!

My wife and I were recently talking about toys we had when we were younger, and she brought up the She-Ra toyline which was stand lone girls alternative to Masters of the Universe, but also how it was weird how Filmation stayed relatively close in the cartoon with designs from the regular He-Man toys, they for some reason strayed very heavily from the toy designs for their versions of the She-Ra characters in that cartoon. I always wondered why the drastic change, and why Mattel and Filmation decided to go in sometimes such wildly different directions.

Also speaking of Playmates, I've always wondered about the Ronin Warriors toys, specifically about the bios on the back of the card where someone clearly went to town making stuff up in order to fill out those bio cards. I always wanted to know the story behind some stuff like that, like who wrote those extra bits and whether or not Playmates got permission or were told to do that, or if they just decided to do that anyway.

Edit: And today it hit me when I was thinking about more KayBees clearance toys, what the heck was up with the Animorphs: Transformers? Like has anyone from Kenner ever explained how that was even a thing?

 

All this talking about sixshot and broadside clogging shelves and i'm here in north texas and i can't even find a single voyager tr prime anywhere. Hell my six shot i had to buy online and broadside is the single wave 4 toy i have even seen. Its getting to a point of giving up the hunt, buying them online, and then the universe will force new transformers to finally show up at retail. Hell one store has 15 of both alpha trion and astrotrain

 

Haven't heard of them before, but I'm getting a little tired of Lost Light, which seems blasphemous, I know. But TAAO and OP are just hitting it so hard each time in comparison, IMO. I get what TJ and Vangelus are talking about with the Jetfire flashbacks, but I feel like by the end of this arc, it'll come back to the present? Like, maybe something in the current story has something related to the flashback in some way? I could of course, be wrong though.

I just don't care about going to the alternate Functionist Cybertron AGAIN, or at least this soon. I think the stuff with Optimus, Pyra Magna, Starscream, and Windblade way more interesting.

I was more looking into having two so Warpath could dual wield missile packs. But as is I was lucky enough to find the one. Guess Ramhorn will have to take the second spot.

 

That was my experience with Wave 3- having sucked up secondary mark up for Triggerhappy to only find weeks later that EVERYONE stocked the wave. Now Target is shelf-warming Twinferno and Roddy everywhere and Walmart has damn near nothing but stragglers. But both are stocking RiD and Movie premiere edition...to my complete lack of interest.

 

Really digging the podcast, been listening to it for years now. I've been going back and listening to old episodes on i-tunes and i guess it's deleting older episodes before a certain date? really weird.


I REALLY need to get caught up on the comics, seeing as I haven't even read Titans Return yet, much less anything after that like the renumbering and othetr events. meh. Loved what i saw so far though!

 

I decided to bear the cross for the State of Ohio a while ago and ordered a case of wave 4 deluxes. Sure enough as soon as it comes in they pop up everywhere. You're welcome fellow ohioans. I was lucky that I had some people who wanted to split the case perfectly with me so it ended up costing no more than retail.
