Been playing around with mine, and the Targetmaster is really finicky. The feet pop off really easy when I'm trying to transform him, and the joint for the ankles doesn't seem to really want to bend that far without popping out of the socket. Haven't tried to transform the clear one yet, though mine's are were not assembled properly.

Yea the targetmaster was surprisingly difficult to transform. Mine appears to be assembled correctly. Haven't transformed the main figure itself. Just transformed the targetmaster so I could mount him on the ladder. I really like the look of this guy.

 

It's entirely possible MMC was overambitious with the articulation on the Targetmaster.

 

These two are partners until Deepcover and Stepper eventually show up.

 

Actually this was along my own line of thinking. I have not liked any of the TM figures that have been done to date, including the Hasbro version for Cyclonus altho that was probably the best one I have seen. The MT one is pretty good and the slide on barrel is good but still feels a little fiddly andI don't like the hands. The one from Carry is terrible. the one from the MP Hot Rod is terrible. This one looks great but I may have done a few things different myself.

 

I think I came off more negative than I intended, especially since I don't have mine in hand yet, and I was just hypothesizing based on a couple forum posts.

But what interested me most about this project from the start was how MMC gave the ALL the joints to the tiny Targetmaster robot. It wouldn't really surprise me that the margin for error for joints at that size is too small. (Since they announced the clear one, I've been going back and forth on whether I even want to touch it for fear of breaking it.)

Still, I'm really impressed and glad they took on the challenge of getting the little guy designed and manufactured.

 

I'd have to agree with you. No one can seem to do targetmasters figures right. MT Contact shot seems to be the most decent one so far.

 

I'm really impressed with Kojin it's a very striking looking figure. I do wish that the wings were gray, but I can live with them being white. My copy came with two bio cards for Nightbeam, but not one for Kojin. Is this common or did I get unlucky with not having a bio card for both Kojin and Nightbeam? I am a little disappointed with Nightbeam the robot mode is nice and very poseable, but the gun mode isn't the best and Kojin doesn't hold on to it very well.

Kojin looks fantastic next to Carry and Doubledeck.

 

I got 2 Nightbeam cards also. One is in English and I think the other is Chinese but I didn't look that closely.

My clear Nightbeam actually transforms better than the solid one.

 

The metal peg in the right leg of Nightbeam is really loose. I didn't transform him fully yet, just put Backdraft's Reprolabels on him since G1 Artfire's labels are the same as Inferno's (I think).

I gotta look to see if his legs are on backwards. I'll play with him more tonight.

 

Okay I didn't notice the different languages. Did you get one for Kojin as well? I didn't get one.

Same here. I got two cards for Nightbeam, none for Kojin. Thought it was odd, but didn't really care about the cards anyhow.

 

I don't condone straight up KOs of figures, but I would not say no to a Deepcover repaint if TT never step up and do it. I've been waiting so long!

 

I'm okay with the one that came with Andras. Bot mode is great, and I don't expect much from the alt modes... it's a little dude folded up with a barrel sticking out.

Really surprised none of the KO folks have done the deco yet. Seems like a no-brainer.

And on-topic, got my Kojin yesterday. Haven't opened it yet, and I'm not in any rush... though I probably should to make sure there's no glaring QC issues.

 

I'm pretty disappointed with the lack of redecos for any of the MP KOs. The most original one was a gold Sideswipe. They could have done a whole rainbow of bumblebee repaints by now too. I'd be in for a wasp and a bugbite...and a glyph.
