I think that Cybertron is destroying them.

 

But why would it destroy those specific things first if everything is set to be destroyed anyway?

There are things we don't know about the actual situation.
For example, what happened to Cybertron after the events of Dotm?
Something mutated the planet, and now it is in this conditions. How it is possible for a planet to move on its own through the universe?
Maybe the Creators did something to it.

 

There's only one thing in the universe that is a planet and is able to move on its own...

 

I mean yeah maybe Cybertron tries to merge with Earth but even then I wouldn't think the pyramid and the other stuff would remain intact either way.I think these scenes are just thrown in there just to show us how important locations,artifacts and all that are destroyed,I dunno if they were destroyed on purpose because a lot of Earth is getting messed in the proces anyway so you know...I personally love it,that's a very nice nod to previous events and it shows how far they've come from there.Right now that is my favorite shot of the trailer hahaha

 

Um nope. I know you are thinking Unicron but!!! There is Primus, Quintessa(the planet), Hive and Hub to name a small few. Here is a larger list and MANY could move on their own.

Speaking of the Cybertron/Earth collision. How do you think all this is gonna end? What's gonna be the climax? This is a major event and I have a feeling at the end of the movie one of the two planets is getting destroyed to pieces!

 

Quintessa doesn't look like a planet though.

 

I don't think that Unicron will be in this movie, or, at list, if he will appear, not as a villain. Their intention is to open the doors for a bigger universe, if they use and kill Unicron in this movie, it would be waste for a better elaboration of the character, something similar to Darth Sidious or Thanos.

 

True but how do we know she isn't that planet and has just placed her Spark into a smaller vessel that can more easily interact with her creations? It would be no different than Primus transferring his Spark to a smaller body while still controlling his planet form in some way.

 

I mean at the moment Cybertron's tenticles scrape Earth's surface, there's no going back from there, right? It's an event of such scale that it looks like a "ultimate doom" situation.

 

I did not say they might bring him in only to get him killed. It could basically serve as a introduction to him!

 

Yeah something major will end up happening where going forward Earth becomes the new home world or it's found out that Earth always was the birth place of the first TFs and so they are all coming back. And or something like a time event will somehow revert Earth back to normal and fix everything IDK.

 

Surely they prepared something very special for him.

There is no doubt that we will see some big consequences on all levels.

 

Hmmm, it's interesting to see the pyramids getting smeared like the Ark on the moon like shown in the trailers. This is more and more like Bay revisiting previous films as a swan song from the directing duties.

Though they need to pull back on the tv spots footage. Because it was the previous one in the week were you can obviously see Op holding the arm blade, hesitating from shish kabobing Bumblers noodle. So he may be fighting what is happening with him and Megsy and walks away leaving Bumbler in pieces to reassemble himself.

Which I think is a upgrade from Cade because Nest/KSI and TRF were trained to go for the joints, thus nullifying that form of attacks.

 

That's a very good question right there.Since both Optimus and Sir Edmund Burton have implied that only one world would survive then everyone would expect Cybertron's demise but but in a way I hope that's not the case.I used to think like this...if they say so it usually is so,and I'm not saying as a bad thing,everyone knows I'm a hardcore fan of these movies.. but usually if the character that has the knowledge on how it works it usually happens that way.That's why I was not believing people saying:Oh Quintessa tricked Prime and that's not Cybertron...when it looks like so it usually is.It does look like an 'ultimate doom' as you just said and I'm really interested to see what happens,I don't think they would go that sci-fi and let Cybertron and Earth merge completely so now it's truly the home of both humans and cybertronians even if I like the idea lol.I have to say I like it like this..I always liked when the whole planet is in danger rather than them fighting over Energon or some new or old weapon they found out about.If Earth and Cybertron would end up being one then wow..I dunno but I do know this is going to be epic and they put effort in it.I can't wait..this is the most interesting TF movie so far..we don't really know much about it even with all the marketing  

 

They aren't showing so much about the events of the present, and the amazing thing is that there are more other things about the Transformers mythology that we haven't seen yet.

 

It turns out that large pieces of Cybertron or Unicron himself (not important), destroy everything that is connected with the past (from past films), including the Egyptian pyramid of Khafra, where the events from ROTF movie.

 

Yeah I noticed that too, that's why I'm waiting for another TV spot showing the Witwicky house getting wrecked. That way all three original trilogy films get covered.
