They did some for AOE. Optimus, Bumblebee, and Stinger. Currently Hero Cross or whatever they are, is making a series of blindboxed figures for TLK, essentially filling that spot

Yep, it's as though Hasbro need to try to make their own versions, and Funko has clearly and decisively controlled this niche sort of product. Hasbro must hope collectors will jump on their bandwagon for similarities.

I have all the TF Mighty Muggs, I love 'em. I still think they missed out on an opportunity to bring out a triple pack of the Incecticons in Mini Mugg form.

I'll be eager to see what they release and I hate to be that guy but I'll only be interested if it's G1 and if I don't have to re-buy the same characters.

Also, I am constantly surprised that Funko haven't done G1 TF yet... or Rainbow Brite... Wut?

Surprised too, but likely not possible if Funko isn't able to purchase any licensing rights.

I thought Mighty Muggs would be a better way to revive the Visionaries property than Transformers, since they, you know. Don't transform. Meanwhile I quite enjoy my SDCC 2016 Leoric.

The Funko Pop Vinyls shelfwarm in the hundreds in stores here and still don't sell when discounted to half price or less... so Hasbro are trying to cash in on something after it has already over-saturated the market.
I just can't see retailers or collector stores jumping on Mighty Muggs while they are stuck with Pop Vinyls, which they would have to sell at a loss just to get rid of them.

These were the twelve that were officially released by Hasbro, released from 2007 to 2011 (ignore the two Potato Heads)...

Interesting, I didn't think they'd try to bring these back, with stuff like Funko Pop Vinyls and all.

I hate to say it but Pop Vinyls must sell or local "toy" shows wouldn't look like a Funko warehouse.

You want to know what's sick? Watch these sell at a price point that everybody claims is too much for a TransFormer or 6" ML/SW/DC.

The paint is terrible on the Pops though. Like, come on, you had one job.
I never handled a Mighty Mugg, were they any better in that regard?

Hmmm......nope. Not really the case. POPs sell like crazy. Common's might linger for a few months, but once vaulted, nearly all retain their value or increase. The POP market is still growing. And you can bet Transformers, once made, will be a huge sector for POPs. Every toy company out there is bitter they aren't able to capitalize on that market.

    I'd rather keep getting Pops.

Interesting...I've got all the original TF and GI Joe ones. See what they come up with I suppose.

Funko pops are the beanie babies of today. Like mighty muggs that once reached $100, lofl. I give them away to friends with kids.

If they don't display the figures in a plastic window saying "Muggshots", you can count me out

Maybe if there is a bit more sculpting variation than just different paint 'textures' over the same base figure, I might have more interest. I already dislike Funko Pops for how soulless they appear in their "remake everything in the style of Hello Kitty" nature. At least the Muggs had a sense of expressiveness.

Universal Studios have their own line of vinyls called uni-minis, which includes Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and... Evac!
