My sources at TRU told me the TR box set was a run of just 10k units and all have been distributed already. While there could be a few cases floating around in back stock at a b&m store I wouldn't expect to see in reappear in stock on the web site ever again.
Toyhax just put up their parts and labels for the TR Velocitron set on their site. I was hoping for more than just guns for Fastlane though in the parts department, like a wrench for Nautica or G1 styled helmet and guns for Quickswitch.
Pretty much yea, unfortunately it's pretty much the only us retailer you can get a whole set from, eBay prices for a whole set are pretty comparable
I think we'll see more come when the BBTS set is released. And if the do release more, I hope Quickswitch has the proper helmet.
Possible theory... production was shorted temporarily to focus on initial run of TLK... and will reappear near TLK release as part of the big merchandise push.
Has anyone happened to have seen this set in the US lately? I think they might be restocking it, but ive only had one person state they have seen it restocked.
I ended up missing out on this set also. I suppose I'll wait for the inevitable release of Fastlane and Cloudraker from Takara. Thank god I pre-ordered the Cybertron set day 1 on BBTS. Unlike Velocitron where I really only wanted Fastlane, I want everything in Siege on Cybertron.
I just bought this set yesterday at a Toys R Us Express store located inside the Manhattan Mall, so there must be a few sets still floating around out there.
Surprised no one has brought it up that the sets are being spotted again at Tru in so cal and Portland.
