I could be wrong but I don't think I'm mistaken as I know exactly which hinge it is regardless of what angle you've taken the picture. The hinge in question is the one on the side of which the barrel is on, right?

That one folds to the right of the gun during the transformation, it gives the impression it can move fully to the left but it can't, it moves ever so slightly and will move a great deal if you force and thus leading to damage, like you've done on yours.

Received mine a few days ago but havent really fiddled with him having no free time...I have no QC issues that i've noticed neither paint chipping.Found myself some time today to mess with him and i freaking love him!He is just so olid and dynamic and expressive! They really were able to replicate the cartoon model inch by inch.Got some comparisons with my Apollyon and his accessories. While i love Apollyon and XTB has my respect for being the first to have the balls to tackle this character,he just pales in comparison. The sculpt, the proportions, the joints, the poseabilty MP-36 just blows him out of the water

Just as I thought.....you overextended it, that hinge gives the impression it does, it does but ever so slightly to the left, not a full extension, it's supposed to fold on itself to the right in the transformation.

I guess I don't know what your talking about, I'm moving this piece in the exact same movement I'm watching in videos and the hinge isn't flowing the exact same way as theirs is. I'm not understanding then what I'm doing that's wrong. I still think it's not going the way it should because that plastic I mentioned is in the way and not allowing it to hinge correctly. Where I zoom in, you see where there is plastic sticking up stopping the hinge from continuing like it's supposed to. Because it's not going, I tried to force it and unknowingly, bent the plastic.

Watch from 23:44 to get an idea of what I'm talking about, look at the positioning of that hinge on the left side with the barrel, notice how he never extends it to the left but folds it upon itself...to the right! You were extending it to left, which you aren't supposed to do. It's hard for you to see because you were doing that just from a different position, on his back.

that's not even the part of the transformation I'm at! I'm at the very very beginning. I'm at 18:33 in the video, I can not perform this part of the transformation. I can't just pull the barrel down along that hinge. There is plastic in the way. I'm not sure if my video isn't very clear but your still not making sense, there is no right or left, it's up and down.

Like I said, regardless of whether that barrel assembly was on his back or on his head, you overextended the hinge to the left and that is the problem.

Look dude, it's whatever, I don't get what your sayin. I can see there is plastic that is stopping the top part of the barrel from being able to completely rotate around the way it is supposed to. The only thing I can tell that I did wrong was use force to mess up the plastic down where the bottom part of the hinge is. I've watched the videos, I've looked at the instructions, I'm moving my hands and doing all the same things all these other reviewers are doing and your still not making sense. So I say we just let it go unless you can figure out a better way to explain yourself or make your own video and show me what I'm doing wrong and how to correct it, because honestly I can't move the barrel in any other way then I've been doing and I seriously feel it's because there is flash in the way. With that said, I'm going to let it go and wait to see if I can get it replaced as I don't want to break it more then it already is.

Do a video of you destroying it in frustration. Show us how easy the paint can scratch and chip.

I sure in the hell hope BBTS will take my figure back being that I just used an exacto knife on it to prove my point, I cleared the flash I noticed and NOW the part rotates the way it is intended to but still doesn't help the fact that I've also still got that broken part. The first pics shows how it's now sits right. The second shows where I had a lot of flash to shave just to get it to this point. I wasn't completely delusional and in my mind I knew what needed to be done, just wish'd I would have realized it sooner. I shouldn't have to shave plastic to get a figure to transform correctly.

That's the best part, I haven't really chipped any paint yet trying to get this to work except for where the plastic obviously cracked and broke. *sigh*

No need for knifes to remove plastic. Your doing it wrong and don't seem to understand. Just like this person said it will fold in on its self. You should have left it and come back to it after a while. Seems like your frustration is what has caused the stress marks. It's your own fault you've damaged your barrel and the retailer should not be taking it back for you mistake. BBTS will know that you've damaged it and taken of the plastic. You should have ask somebody to transform for you. That's when you'll realise how stupid you were, not in a mean way. You can then keep it for gun mode and buy another for display.

Ok, I'm the bad guy. Thanks guys! Why is it then, when I shaved this so called plastic that I was referring to, that was causing me from being able to move the barrel, now I'm able to transform it with out a problem. Yes, I broke it due to applying more pressure then I should have, but I couldn't get it to fold in on itself due to the flash that was in the way. It's fine. I can see I'm going to be ganged up on over this. How about we just move on and let it go. I'll deal with it either way. Just because you may not have had flash doesn't mean I didn't. I know I may not be the smartest person in the world but I'm sure I know when there is flash stopping from something moving. I just didn't realize the flash was there till it was already too late and I had already damaged the figure. The ONLY reason I used a knife was to clear the flash to prove that this is what was causing my issue. Guess I'm just delusional and don't know what the hell I'm talking about... It's fine.

I don't collect MPs unless I really like them. I'm still CHUG for life but felt these pieces would be great in my collection and I gotta say, really loving them! Especially MP-36!

I don't remember, but has anybody confirmed the transformation that @Deruji did before compared to the actual MP-36?

Mine was very similar to yours - that joint between the barrel and the soft plastic link piece was very tight. It's not flash it's just sort of 'teeth' to give that joint positive positions, but they were crazy tight on mine. I almost resorted to shaving as you have now done and a couple others did also straight out the box. But in the end I just forced it through mashing those teeth. I was super careful to support the other end while doing so to avoid doing exactly what you've unfortunately done and I was ok. But it really shouldn't be that tight and I could easily have damaged mine just like yours if I was any less careful.

Sucks and I hope you can get a replacement cos although yes 'you broke it', you were kinda unwittingly forced into it. You overbent the joint at the other end of that soft plastic link piece because the joint you were intending to move and applying force to wouldn't budge! The vast majority of pieces are clearly not like that or there'd be more stories like yours and mine and others would know what you're talking about! Good luck.
