There have been times where victorion was formed without rust dust. That's where the debate lies. But since we have rust dust in the game already it would be foolish to not require her.

 

You're aware that you can swap bots out on existing squads, right?

 

That's what I do. Rotate in 'Cons that I have that are at least level 21 & level them up to increase my CP. I'm currently at 19.7 (w/o the 1 Autobot I accidentally recruited) to 19.8K (w/ 1 Autobot included in the total).

Yes, I know I can swap out bots.
If I want to level them faster, I temporarily replace someone on Prime Team with the one I want to level, as this team can tackle the highest difficulty bases. which grants more XP.

But I still need them unlocked in the first place.
They have to be available to deploy with Prime Team in order to earn their xp/raise my combined power level.

Basically, with the exception of my Decepticons, every useful bot has been assigned to one of my 4 teams.
So in time and given enough weekend events with bonus XP. they're going to get to 30.
Some of them even made it that high during this event.

Even the ones I don't use got levelled up.

3 star: Optimus Prime, Grimlock, Hotspot, Pyra Magna, Jumpstream, Ironhide, Slug, Windblade, Skyburst, Skydive, Alpha Bravo, Seaspray, Prowl, Air Raid, Cliffjumper, Jazz, Wheeljack.
2 star: Ultra Magnus, Optimus Primal, Hot Rod, Star Saber, Pipes, Hound, Fireflight, Mirage, Arcee, Ratchet, Smokescreen, Sideswipe, Stormclash, Perceptor, Jetfire, Sunstreaker, Dustup, Powerglide, Bumblebee.

Decepticons.
3 star: Tantrum.
2 star: Megatron, Bludgeon, Viper, Octopunch, Kickback, Cyclonus, Slipstream, Starscream. Thundercracker.

 

Got 4* dupes on both my accounts.

 

More than enough for a squad or even two to level.

 

Got that same 4*, and a 3* powerglide. Waiting in air raid and eyeing that aerialbot bundle, but resisting.

 

4* Jetfire leads off my A-Squad. Love that bot.

 

Nice. I was hoping for a 4* Jetfire but got a 4* Skydive instead. Still, no complaints. 4* Skydive is a great bot.

 

I got a 3 star Nightbird from shards this weekend. Slowly but surely my 2 stars are being retired. Probably a month away from my next 4 star though.

 

Just lost one good man who decided to retire from the game. Looking for another good man to fill his place.

@Tilarta, that's the issue then. You have TFs that you won't use that can also be leveled up to help increase your Combined Power. I don't have much use for Nightbird & Thundercracker; however, I used them in battles to level up just like I used Megatron, Galvatron, Starscream or Rampage.

Don't forget to level up abilities. Except for 7 of my 2* 'Cons, all my 2*, 3* & 4* TFs are at level 3 with their abilities.

I didn't say they hadn't been leveled up, just that they aren't used.
If I don't find them useful in any way by the time they reach 30, then they're dismissed from active service.
I think that's enough of a test run to determine if they are worthwhile.

4 squads x 7 positions=28 Autobots.
That means 11 Autobots who are benchwarmers because there is no available positions to be assigned to active duty.

Decepticons aren't in play for the simple reason that I just don't have an extra squad slot available for them.
When it becomes available, then they get deployed.
They don't bring much to the game anyway at this point, their combined power is far less then that of any of my Autobot squads.

There's also a rule I have for Combiner characters, if they aren't 3 star or higher, then they get ignored.
Call it their punishment detail for being a bad unlock, because they don't qualify for a Combiner activation/deployment.
Yes, it's not rational, but it's what I want to do.

Additionally, some of the ones not listed were 1-2 star dupes of 3 star unlocks.
I can't justify levelling them up when I have a better version available.

 

2 star dupe lead to.a 3 star dupe (which i only have 6 3 stars) , then i got bombshell 4 star, his ability is kinda fun.
