Ah thanks! I don't know that as I didn't pay attention to those two characters. Now come to think of it, I need to hunt down a Hasbro Roadbuster! Especially if the differences are minimal!  

 

if I recall correctly the Hasbro didn't have any Autobot insignia printed on it and instead came with stickers(also an alternate wreckers insignia) the only paint difference was something to do with the feet.

 

Thanks! I can live with such differences, seeing that they are so minor. Besides the Hasbro version is easier on the wallet.

On subject, im sorry that Megatron is unaffordable. I guess as long as your happy with what you have thats good enough eh? Speaking of Canada and islands (I'm not sure if this a province or not or if I mentioned this in the last post or not, but) I had a summer home on the Island called Wolfe Island waaaaay up north take a ferry over from the city of Kingston to get there. You know that area or do you live near there?

Also, back in the late 80s toys weren't really that much more up there. Dome but not the difference of today.

 

Okay, so I really want to put in a pre-order for this guy, but it seems like the only differences between the TT and Hasbro Trypticon is going to be the details on the titan master and the the lime green belly. If that's it, then should I just hold off and wait for the hasbro one? Do we think LG-43 is going to be have a more charcoal color?

 

I really have no idea. Maybe in this instance its really 50/50 if TT's version will have substantial changes to the colour and mold.

It would be cool if there's some tooling differences like what they are doing with TR Kup.

 

Or if TT included Brunt.
Other than that, I don't think there's any real draw to TT over Hasbro on this one.

 

I think the draw is that Japan can get it and all you Americans can buy the Hasbro version. Provided I can afford it, I'll be importing TakaraTomy's one because these toys rarely come out in New Zealand, and if they do, they usually cost a lot more than the cost of buying AND shipping them from Japan (hence why I import just about everything now, because this country is unbearably expensive).

As for the complaint about Masterpieces being too expensive to import: they're not too expensive for us or Australia to import because we're relatively close to Japan, but most of the third-party stuff is very expensive to import over here because of shipping costs and, currently, a terrible NZD-USD exchange rate, so you win some, you lose some. Just remember that all our official stuff is still significantly more expensive than yours too. Heck, even Australia and Canada have cheaper stuff than New Zealand half the time now because our exchange rates are so close together lately.

 

I really want to see more pictures and information on this release.

If that's the final LG-43 paint scheme, I'm gonna a have to save the extra cash and wait for the Hasbro version to go on sale.

 

I just hope they don't pull another "FOC Fruticus" scheme by making Hasbro's version look far worse. The darker grey looks much better IMO but if that's the only thing that Takara has over Hasbro's version then it's not worth the $75 extra dollars for Takara's version.

I'll just stick with Hasbro's version for 150.00 and that $75 can go to 3P add on's or something else entirely.

 

can't wait for reviews on this guy. I want the Hasbro for my 3yr old. SDCC/Hascon version, if there is one, for me.

 

Trypticon's already on my birthday/Christmas list, regardless.

LG trypticon color is pretty darker but I like hasbro ver.
