Another part of the reason my be costs. DOTM figures we're made 6 years ago, and the budget for figures and rollercoster'd since then. They cost for the figure, as well as the license for that vehicle might outweigh the profit, in Hasbro's eyes. The Dinobots, who we know are supposed to at least have some prominent role in TLK, would by default be an easier choice to stay within budget and maximize profits.

But hey, I don't work for Hasbro so who knows. Thats just my speculation on it.

I seriously don't understand why you want Onslaught so bad. He's just Long Haul with different vehicle kibble. I bet he'll get 5 minutes of screen time, no dialogue, and dies.

 

Except his completely different alt mode kind of makes a new mold necessary if they give him a figure.

 

I can't speak for him, but as a huge bruticus fanboy, I'll buy anything with one of the combaticons' names on it. Besides, as you said, its mini long haul with brighter colors, a cool alt. mode, and looooooooots of guns. They've perfected one of the best movie designs out there, how could you not want a figure of it?

Why we haven't see the pre-orders for the MPM Bee tho?. Either from Takara or Hasbro.

 

Aw come on, no individual figure orders? I want that Voyager Optimus, but not the Grimlock redeco. Same with Berserker and Barricade, I want those by themselves but not Bumblebee and Slash.

Probably the same thing that happened to the source that was leaking Titans Return information it's probably being keep absolutely top secret.

 

But I would assume it would be a good business strategy to leak out some of the figures bit by bit to get the fandom excited for the release of the line and when the line hits stores, more people are going to buy it, but hey what do I know

 

I feel this is the same thing like when DOTM line was being announced. We all knew about wave 1 to wave 5 then they announced wave 6 will be announced after the movie premieres.

 

But the weibo stuff, as well as the Transmissions Podcost TR stuff were all leaks. Just someone on the inside who was sharing something he shouldn't have.

Plus, the Reveal Your Shield event was Hasbro's PR stunt to build hype. I think that shows what, whoever is in charge of stuff like that, thinks is best for building hype. The only actual figure reveal come an event held in China, and RYC just piggiebacked off of that reveal.

Plus, the only reveals we had previous to that where from a fan event held by Hasbro Australia I think.(Slugslinger & Misfire.)

I just looked this up and this wasn't the case. Wave 5 consisted of Darksteel, who wasn't revealed until Botcon 2011, and what was given the name Dark Iron at the time. I think only up to wave 3 was revealed at Toyfair that year. Though I get your point. I think we should look more to compare with AOE however. That only revealed up to wave 3 I believe, and there where a shit ton of exclusives we only found out from leaks and listings.

Heh, I still remember when we got our first look at figures in the form a whole box of Crankcase and Roabuster prototypes. I finally joined later that year.
