I also have to say, I'm confused about the price hike. Why do the figures cost more? There's no price hike for the Titans Return line. On top of that, the figures, despite costing more, still lack some paint apps, and they're still small compared to figures from ROTF and even DOTM. The only thing that's changed is the packaging which is bigger to justify the price going up. I mean, has Hasbro made a statement or whatever as to why they're raising the prices on the movie figures?

The price hike from combiner wars wasnt justified and it became the new standard msrp. We know damn well why they jacked up the prices. They're greedy as hell and of course everyone is just okay with it

holy f**k yeah I'm done with this line before I've even seen it if this is how they want to play it.

honestly I've picked up little to no combiner wars, titan masters etc due to these crazy prices and it's a shame. I miss the days of hunting toys but I cant justify this.

Yep, probably means most places won't get anything beyond wave 1 for the Premier Editions.

It's not even a remould, just a repaint. The new one's already been designed and at least a painted prototype made and displayed so I don't really follow your logic there. It's probably more they want to save the new one for later to maintain interest.

Absolutely abysmal pricing on the deluxes, expecting these to warm shelves for a long time until a decent sale comes along to knock them down to a more sensible cost.

way better quality figures though. These aren't made with cheap materials and shitty plastic so it's a better trade off imo

It's a higher quality figure and package. Titans Return are junk comparitively. They have weaker plastic and less parts count. Thars why I'd rather have better figures myself

How come ppl are complaining of the prices wjen they finally give us better figures. I mean think about it, the quality has been abysmal ever SINCE the last movie. And the sculpts are better now then in AOE so double win. Plus the packaging is better and is something you can keep your figures in easier then an opened card.

No its probably something like they didn't make the new one til they had the design in full to see, maybe originally Bumblebee was supposed to be the same bot mode as episode 4 but things changed OR they just didn't know what he was gonna be like exactly so they planned it for wave 3 to get it right. There's lots of reasons why that could happen OR in order to pay for the new figures in the line they needed to have repaints and thar was #1 on the list. It's not a bad figure and they are all high quality plastics so not the end of the world. Least imo

Just a shame they're not painting them more to make the most of the sculpts.

They have wave 1 voyagers in the Corton Wood Smyths in Barnsley in the U.K. Picked up a Prime earlier.

Personally I always thought the Titans Return figures had good plastic quality, but I'll have to compare when I get a TLK figure in the future. However, it would be great if they at least added more paint to the figures, or made them a bit more accurate (Deluxe Barricade) since they're raising the prices. The only great thing about the TLK toy line is that the figures seem to have more complexity than the AOE toy line.

Because 30$ for a Basic voyager that still has less to offer than the average ROTF/HFTD Voyagers (Which were 20$) is ludicrous and unworthy. They'll keep jacking up the prices as long as people keep being sheep. I'm no sheep. I have standards and while yes, these figures are LOADS better than the hollow pieces of crap we got from Combiner Wars and Titan Returns, that does NOT justify the doubling of the price point. I stopped buying when they raised the Deluxes up to 15$ (As apposed to 10$) and Voyagers up to 25$ (As apposed to 20$). I knew for a fact that Hasbro could make actually good figures like they've done in the past with the ROTF/ HFTD Line, Generations 1.0 line, Animated line, and Prime Line. Beast Hunters was when we got our first look into the quality downgrade.

Yea leave it to Hasbro I guess we won't really know we experience having them in hand. They could be utter junk bt the time a second shipment gets sent. Kinda like combiner wars did wave 1 without the comics was incredibly awesome. Wave 3 ok, wave 5 (or somewhere around Bruticus) junk. Basically. I'm hoping to get a good batch

Well at least you acknowledge the difference between the quality and yea it's a bitch to pay more BUT I look at like thjs I been collecting full time since I graduated highschool in 1995. 1996 is when I started buying entire collections at retail & just retail figures in general. And through that entire time figures basically stayed around the sane price. So it's really par for the course, that 20 for deluxes sounds about right by the year 2018. Idk but then you have Canada who's jacking it up even more especially the larger figures and I hope that we don't have to pay that price ever so I understand not wanting to pay. But 3rd party charges more & ppl will pay & imo unless their FansToys masterpieces, or sometimes a few others they don't hold a candle to what hasbro and takara are capable of. ;)

That's my opinion though not fact and I said "capable of" not always releasing lol

3rd Party companies charge more because of Labor. I'm happy with 3rd Party because they actually tackle the projects that Fans Want. Figures of characters that Hasbro clearly doesn't have the balls to make/make properly. I'm happy to pay the high end prices because 9/10 they ARE made better than Most of what Hasbro has had to offer. For instance, Mastermind Creations are making the IDWverse a thing. This pleases me greatly and, because I own their Vos and Kaon, I know that these figures are worth the price. I can't wait to get their Tarn, Overlord, and Rodimus. I have 4 out of the 6 Generation Toy Gravity Builder Team and they are just...Beautiful...And I LOVE DX9's Hulkie Team to death.

I get what you're saying but paying $20 for figures that have gotten gradually smaller over the years and lack in paint applications is kinda ridiculous, at least to me. And the reason third party figures are expensive is because of how much work goes into them. Look at the Planet-X FOC Optimus Prime. He's not only bigger than the Hasbro version, he's also more accurate to how he looked in the game.
