Soundwave's voice sounds perfect.

It sounds pretty spot on to what it was in the Devastation game, rather than how it sounded in Prime.

I'm not sure if that bugs me or not because on the one hand, continuity, but on the other hand, they both sound pretty great.  

Edit: Actually, after a few listens, I'm less certain. Either way,

Items of note:

-Frank Welker voicing Soundwave complete with full vocoder effects is AWESOME
-One of the Stunticons is colored like G1 Breakdown in robot mode (probably Slashmark, though his toy barely reflects this)
-Not surprising at all, but official confirmation that this Blur is the same character as Rescue Bots Blur
-'Dragbreak' has a weapon that looks like a purple Magnus Hammer
-Team Bee just kind of learn how to combine by laying in a circle. Okay then...

 

So wait...Drift is part of the combination too? I would've assumed Fixit would be the one to form any kind of weapon.

I disliked how his voice sounded in Prime. This new one is so much better.  

Anyways, I got some screenshots.  

 

Pretty good trailer. Shows off what we'll see for the combining power the characters will have.

 

Hm, so they're totally eliminating Soundwave's creepiness... Eh, we already had an entire series dedicated to wasting his creepiness. Maybe now he's big, strong and can talk, he'll actually do stuff.

I knew Blurr would be in the actual show. Take that, whoever it was that said otherwise. Not certain how this works with his character development, but I'm looking forwards to seeing him on the show.

I still really wish these combiners had decent toys. These Stunticons look so much cooler than the CW versions.

 

Yeah I REALLY hope we get better combiner toys than the crash style ones.

 

This show is such a blatant toy commercial for toys that just aren't good. Glad y'all enjoy, but I just can't get behind it's constant shilling.

 

So wait, Drift becomes the Sword?
That's........ Actually really cool! Does anyone know if the toy includes that sword?

 

Don't know anything of Rescue Bots Blurr so I'm not as excited about his appearance.

However I am very excited to see Soundwave return.

And my favorite Combiner team, The Stunticons, are the main threat? I can't wait for Season Three!

 

Yeah, I understand where you're coming from. Season 2 & 2.5 were shilling the mini-cons hard (without doing much to make me like any of them). And now it's combiners.

I still enjoy the show though. Despite the obvious shilling of new toys, they've so far kept the stories & main characters entertaining. Hope that trend continues. I'm ok with Soundwave talking again, though I still hate how chunky his new toy is. Hopefully he's not so chunked out in the tune. Time will tell.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if Blurr is only visiting for one episode.

Blurr... honestly, I liked RB Blurr's look better.. but it'll be nice to have him around anyway. Hopefully he'll leave Sideswipe in the dust a few times. lol

Can't believe we're already up to season 3. The show's premiere still feels like it happened yesterday.

 

Interesting thought- Sword Drift is noticeably absent from the Ultra Bee boxset. However, all the other figures in those sets go from Robot to vehicle to combiner piece- something that may not be possible with Drift.

So MAYBE he'll be released on his own as a Cyberverse figure that just goes from robot to sword.

 

Doubt it. I don't think combiners have 5 mm hands.
