Kind of surprised HLJ has an order stop for this. I didn't pick it up from AE where I normally go.

 

Not gonna lie, that looks badass. I love the BW Grimlock from Dinobot but this is awesome too.

 

Anyone else think Hasbro has a surprise up there sleeve ?

Id be concerned about that proposed change part. A least the guy who wanted fur on his primal might get lucky

 

I noticed it in this email I recieved from the Earth Wars game :

 

I just found it odd that it stated " Hasbro reference "...

 

Is that ANOTHER ANOTHER BEAST CONVOY? Badum tss. Looks interesting nonetheless. Would like to see a toy design of that.

 

Maybe its just for the game, but if the paint procedure was too expensive for hasbro I could see them pulling out the faux monkey fur.

That's just for the redesign for the game. If you look at the art they've just edited pictures of the MP for the sake of having the proportions worked out already. It's not an indicator of a retool of the MP. There's not enough space in the torso for fins on the head, for example.

Also, that is seriously a terrible fucking redesign. All the robot parts have become very generic blocky, with pointless angled lines and gaudy recolouring.

 

At first I thought it was the proposed design for POTP Primal.... He did win the poll...

 

Heh. I kind of want to see someone with some decent customizing and sculpting talent, mod MP Primal with some textured fur like that pic. Get some Sculpie or Green Stuff or something and craft some wild looking matted hair and fur. Rather than the real fur effect (hwhich IMO doesn't really work), go with hard sculpted plastic to mimic the animal look.
Considering some of the stuff I've seen customers do with comic book action figures, creating whole new characters out of assorted pieces, sculpting costumes and hairstyles etc, I imagine it could be done.

 

I'd buy that redesigned Primal %100

 

I like this new Primal design. I wouldn’t want it to be a MP Primal retool though, it should be its own mold. But I guess the artist only used the Masterpiece mold as a base for his design.

I got out my Primal last night to take a few pics and I got really excited for this figure. It's true that it's very similar to the first paint job, but it's such an amazing mold. I'm really excited to own it again. CG will meet animated.

 

Maybe they have quieted down on the news to get me to buy this. It's almost working.
