This sort of isn't helpful, but I found and bought the one Legends Brawn they had at Roseville Meijer the other day. No sign of Roadburn, but clearly that Legends wave is getting out in the world.
Picked up a Broadside in Flint at Walmart on Corunna Rd. There were 2 more. I thought it was odd the top of the box had a Decepticon logo. TRU in Flint had deluxe Hot Rod and Twinferno, a Blaster, lots of the Blaster tapes but didn't see any Velocitron sets. Haven't seen any in Saginaw, either, but they still had 1 Fort Max yesterday and the TR deluxes with Hot Rod
Just picked up a Gnaw and Kickback with the sale, so a good deal. Wish I had known it was coming up I would have waited on the Voyage Megs and Prime til this week. Canton Meijer is wiped out, just some Titan Masters and 1 Mindwipe left for Titans Returns. RID stock doesn't look much better. Bellevue Meijer still has a few Gnaws if anybody wanted extras with the sale price.
In addition to buy one get one half off Meijer also has a coupon for $5 off a purchase of $30 or more in toys. So getting, let's say, Optimus and Megatron's voyagers would cost 33 before tax
Is the $5 off coupon something they have in store? I checked under MPerks and didn't see a digital coupon there.
I went to the Meijer in Woodhaven last night and they had 6 Bumblebees but not a single Gnaw! The only thing they had that people might be interested in is TR voyager Optimus and Megs. I'm sad because there wasn't anything there for me to take advantage of the buy one get one 50% off sale. That buy one get one 50% off sale isn't just for toys though. Those yellow signs are up all over the store. I think it's buy one get one 50% off on most everything except groceries.
^Thanks for the heads up on the extra coupon..... I was able to get Brawny, BBee, Kickback, and Gnaw for 25$ + tax. My son is going to have a full Easter basket.
A lot of different categories are running the Buy One Get One 50% Off this week. Toys is just the big one because they got their own ad to showcase it. In toy sighting news, Lenox Meijer restocked the Rodimus wave of deluxes.
Encountering a lot of that...Hasbro still hasn't learned their lesson in case ratios, especially in regards to what they have to know are army-building figures.
The problem is I think they still think Bumblebee is the big seller and keep underestimating the collectors. Look at Gnaw... on the surface it is a risky figure. A little known character, with a strange alt mode, that hasn't appeared in anything in over 20 years. Bumblebee is the Batman to Optimus' Superman... the well known figure. Bees seem like the best bet.
I went to that one and it was a bust. But then I went to the Fraser Meijer and got Bb and kickback. No gnaw though. Just about a dozen BB and a couple kickbacks
All this wave 3 Legends re-socking at Meijer after a good number of stores (but not all) stocked wave 4 seems odd, yet so in line with weird distribution as of late. I checked the Canton Walgreens on a whim to see if they maybe had some wave 4 DX's, and nothing. They just had the single TR Mindwipe sitting there that's been collecting dusts for some time now. But Walgreens does have a buy one get one 50% off on Transformers Kre-O guys. I grabbed a few for my nephew as an Easter gift.
Seems a few places have put the new toys out early for the new movie...anyone seen any around MI? What do you all think of these new figures? Deluxes at $20? Easy pass for me; I'll wait for a sale or them to show up at TJ Maxx lol. I really think I'm being priced out of this market; just don't have the money to buy like I used to and distribution really seems to bite the big one of late.
The distribution issues have really put me off going out hunting, all these months of TR Wave 1 and empty pegs are a real downer. Hasn't stopped me from hoping I'll spot something when when I'm out for other reasons, but it's sucks to consistently come back with nothing. I really hope that the TLK stuff doesn't push out TR, shitty distribution aside, I've been loving the line and am really looking forward to Wave 4, 5, and beyond (assuming we've got another year or so of TR coming). Tho I saw that pre-orders just went up for Wave 4, so hopefully we'll start to see them en masse soon at retail. $20 for deluxes just feels wrong. Like when TRU had CW limbs for $22 (I forget if that was Sky Reign or Combaticons), not cool. I'm not too hyped for TLK toys tho, so I'll prolly pass on them.
