The Megatron looks to be moreso based on the 10th anniversary toy, which did have a robotic aesthetic.

True, but they scrapped everything remotely organic about it, even the overall shape.

If I wanted a blocky looking robot T-Rex I would go with Grimlock, who's right there in the same picture. So I don’t get why we need another one now.

The leaks which have been 99% right up until now have said that PotP's gimmick is Micromaster like figures that interact with figures similarly to Titanmasters and that the line is mostly continuing Titans Return's Season Three cast.

Outside of that, it is likely that this is PotP Primal's design, considering this game leaked Titans Return Blaster and Soundwave long before their release and the previous app that's name currently escapes me leaked loads of figures, such as CW Cyclonus.

I love it, too, especially the aftermath of the extended Botcon/Beast Machines/IDW stories. I imagine "present day" or future G1 Cybertron to be metal cities and part lush cybernetic flora, with transformers of various designs and generations cohabiting together.

The Optimus looks like it's based on the Pretender shell they did for the TFCC release.

I doubt the whole line will be. Sad to say it, but the beasts don't always sell that great, and can be pegwarmers. The last few BW characters who were straight up realistic beasts did sit around a bit, like Rattrap and Rhinox. Which is a shame because they were great toys. So I doubt Hasbro'd be quite willing to do a pure Beast line.

The plus side is as we're seeing in Titans Return Hasbro is perfectly willing to do a mixed line. And the figures for characters like Mindwipe and Twinferno don't seem to be having much issue selling. So maybe it's just the organic beast modes?

And honestly I'd kinda like new looks on the BW cast. A lot of their original toys still hold up well today. And I'm kinda dissappointed it's always the season one versions and characters. I'd like to see some transmetals and Transmetal 2 versions.

So in short I'm thinking beasts in the line, but not exclusively. Maybe larger figures will be triple changers with Robot, vehicle, beast modes.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one with this point of view, Especially the bits about updates looks/transmetals and triple changers. And as for why organic beasts tend the shelfwarm, I think its because they tend to be shellformers.

Not a ton of new info from the stream other than the characters shown are coming. Simon Furman is a guest next week to talk about the story bits he's done/doing for the game. They might show off the new bots next week. They did kind of hint at more Gnaw action. Something about "going fishing" using the space bridge and getting a "bite". I expect a Gnaw event next weekend as a buffer before new bots either a week or two weeks later. The other dinos, Kup, and Hun-Grrr are coming but no definite time frame was given. So, enjoy the solo event this week. See what next Thursday tells us. :)

Those are some damn cool designs, do we have any looks at their robot modes? Also I wanna see that Megatron redesigned into Scorn.

Hmmm, I don't think the next line with feature a Targetmaster gimmick even though it seems like the obvious choice. My reasoning is that they're already doing a lot of Targetmaster characters in the Titans Return line. If the next line was going to include Targetmasters why wouldn't they wait and do those characters properly?

They didn`t run out of Headmasters , they chose to simply release them with out bodies ... Originally the Titan masters were supposed to be unknown characters , but we see how that played out . I don`t see Targetmasters being incorporated in to the POTP line either . I have a feeling were all going to be blown the hell away with what they have chosen to do . All we gotta do is keep biting our nails down to the cuticle lol.

Haha, true, but we already have Blurr, Hot Rod, Kup, Scourge, Misfire, Quake, Triggerhappy, Slugslinger, as part of Titans Return. Scoop from the Thrilling 30 line, and Needlenose and Spinister from the figure subscription service.

That only leaves Crosshairs, Pointblank, Sureshot, Landfill, and Quickmix. Wow, I didn't realize this until I was typing out but that's only 5 figures left from the Targetmasters line.
