Ball jointed neck is a major yes. Fingers are fused still though?

I'm sure KFC already has a design for fully poseable hands on the board. As long as they don't do anything silly like color them gray they should be fine.

I know. You can imagine my dismay when I created an Amazon Japan account last week only to discover the huge price hike.

So I think the shortlist for most complicated transformation of 2017 (so far) is:

    1) G-Creations Ultra Maxmas (MP IDW Prime)
    2) Takara MP-36 Megatron
    3) Badcube's releases

I've only needed an instruction booklet once, ever, and that was for that rage inducing Fans Project Motormaster (ARGH!). I'm usually OK if I can 'see' where bits are meant to move to as I transform. If i hadn't seen the feet transformation in the video MP-36, I wouldn't believe how it works!

I don't mind complex transformations as long as they are still intuitive and don't risk breakages \ stressing \ paint chipping etc...but this...not sure what I think. Kind of feels like Takara are showing off, which is fine, as long as the actual product quality can back up the ambitious engineering without imploding.

Dollars to doughnuts that there'll be a third-party designer looking at the back of MP-36 right at this moment, and thinking up a doohickey that'll make things look more appealing. #captainobvious

Damn, as complicated or more than Apollyon, and with way more kibble on his back (which matters since in my Detolf display Prime & Megs are facing off)... cleaner legs though, obviously. Still, wondering if I'll regret having this on preorder. Should be easy to sell if I end up hating it I guess.

I remember a long time ago when I was working at toysrus. A kid 10 years old asked me if we sold MP-05. If I were still working there I wonder if another kid would ask me again, only for MP36 this time.

I work at TRU now (a reason for the slow preorder). The only MP that any kid has ever asked for was MP-10.

Dumb question here: if I'm going to buy this figure at BBTS or any online US retails it's going to have the orange plug (due to US law), correct? How did some able to buy it without the orange plug though? Is it be because they live outside the US or imported it? If I imported it would I get in trouble at Custom?

    Just want to make sure.

Even if it's more complicated to transform than Apollyon, it doesn't have all these weird parts, such as the metal bars. At least, Megatron looks like fun to transform.
    Just my opinion.

Word of advice for any future MP releases at toyrus. When it comes to big ones, keep your eye on them. I had many things go wrong with them. no reserving, no hold, limits, shoplifters. But most important, younger people asking for negotiation. When Soundwave was released, I had like one for 2 teens ask me if they can have it for $20 or $30. IT was always for the larger Masterpieces, but never the smaller car Masterpieces.

I love that the back page of the manual is "the making of Masterpiece Megatron". It shows some shots of the figure at various stages of development, including an image similar to the prototype that leaked back in the fall.

We're going to need some translation of that pronto. Maybe our friend Deruji can help us out once he gets his hands on it.

I just paid for mine today. Once I get mine in I'll take a look at how I might be able to make a cover.

That can't be literal. That literally is figurative.

Saw the video last night. The engineering is pretty thought out and clever. I don't know if I'll ever transform mine.
