The concert season is upon us. Who are you seeing this year? Here is my lineup thus far: 03/31 - Winger 04/06 - Thunderstruck (ACDC Tribute Band) 06/02 - Mr. Big 06/15 - Iron Maiden and Ghost 06/24 - Def Leppard, Poison and Tesla 08/12 - Slaughter and Vixen 12/01 - Winger and Firehouse and a couple more TBA Rock On!
This is the first time in years we arent making the trip from NY to FL for Rockville (We just bought a house in Jan) But we just did WWE Live (Smackdown house show) this past saturday (Aj vs Cena in a street fight as the main event). We did an NXT show last month. I'm seeing Killswitch Engage, Anthrax, and The Devil Wears Prada in May. Probably hit In This Moment w/ Motionless in White next month and a few this summer (SPAC in upstate NY gets a few good metal shows each yr)
Saw Dropkick Murphys with the Interrupters last month Voo Doo Glow Skulls Next week Flying to Phoenix in April to see Pennywise and The Offspring.
I'm really hoping that Ted Nugent will come to Minnesota on a day where I can go see him rock it to the extreme. I might even splurge for the M&G tickets.
So far it's only... 5/26 Soundgarden, and hopefully 8/6 Clutch and Primus. Clutch is on my concert bucket list so I'm really hoping to be able to make it to that one.
For shows, I suppose I should add WWE Summerslam to the list on 8/20 Just picked up tickets for my family (ugh tickets + hotel are like 1900)
It's impossible to get good tickets yet alone any tickets to a good concert these days. They go on sale and are sold out in seconds. Scalper bots and secondary markets have ruined it for the fans.
Saw Ghost and Iron Maiden last night. What a great show. First time seeing Ghost and I highly recommend seeing them.
I see a great deal of comedy concerts. Just last weekend, my wife and I saw Donnell Rawlings aka Ashy Larry. We've seen just about every famous comedian live from Bill Cosby to Lewis Black. We see George Lopez and Jo Koy whenever they come to town. Damon Wayans was one of my favorites, but he doesn't tour much these days.
Seeing parkway drive tonight, tickets stone sour in August (both at a local club). Tickets set for Summerslam (first layer of three layers of seats, not bad for a big busy arena) Tickets set for nxt takeover Brooklyn (middle of the three seating layers only a few rows up in said section)
Saturday's shows (Tesla, Poison and Def Leppard). My ears and liver need a break after Friday and Saturday.
2 of my all time favorite bands, A Perfect Circle and Foo Fighters are touring at the end of the year. But only APC is coming to Seattle. Surprised that Foo's don't have a Seattle date booked yet they are playing the meth capitol of Washington that is Spokane.
