Dev would pull Necro up.

"Might be a good idea to look out."

Dev would follow TFan while Chip peered curiously around.

 

"You don't remember anything between then and now?"

Nemesis opens up with a straight, making full use of the electrically-actuated carbon naonotube "muscles" in her new body.

"You and I are allies. Stand aside."

 

Before Necro could react the force of the bats flying out knocked him back into the pit he had just climbed out of.

 

"Allies?" He rubbed his helm and squinted. "I only remember you yelling at someone... running away, punching rocks, having a temper tantrum over nothing!" He shouted back. "Now you either explain to me what's going on between you two... or I start throwing punches..."

 

"At the time, I was under the impression you were responsible, oh y'know, only the devastation of my adopted home planet, and thus the ruin of my life's work. Minor things like that, totally an overreaction, y'know.

As for her...you want the long or the short?"

"I can explain better than you, Adrestia. She and I had a dispute over certain political movements led by certain gladiators, she joined said movement, I gave the Police Corps a tip, and she got mutilated by the Institute's butchers. From there, it mostly became less a dispute than a blood feud. I'm not proud of that."

 

"Then why must you two fight? Why not just make up and just say you're sorry!" Kyrios shouted to both of them. "Nemesis, I doubt she MEANT it, and even if she did she's your sister! How could you even imagine killing or hurting her!" He protested

"And you, uh, Themesis? I'm sure your intentions weren't bad, and if they were then I'll stand with her more than you." He growled. "Now please, either deal with it like an adult... you both are lovely femmes, I get that, but killing each other isn't and will never be a solution... I learned that the hard way."

 

"Maybe I can cut her some slack...she's going to have to find her own digs, though. Don't confuse mercy for forgiveness, snake."

"An apology would be meaningless to you at the moment. I spotted a city on the way down, Addy. Don't worry about little ol' me - I can handle myself."

Themis transforms into her alternate mode - a massive serpent with gauzy wings - and flies towards the city, "slithering" in the air. Nemesis merely turns to Kyrios, arms crossed.

"What the hell happened to you? Last time I saw you, you caught my fall after I got my ass kicked by those pirates. You were beat up when I arrived too, come to think of it..."

 

He looked at Nemesis and frowned a little before sitting down. "Well, after that, I kind of got cast aside. I couldn't get my navi computer working so I couldn't find anyone, I broke your fall and two little guys dragged you away to fix you, sure, but I didn't come back. I went into space to try and find something, and I found a planet that... that I remembered in a past life. I got some minor power out of it but I don't have an alt mode anymore..."

He groaned a little as he handed her a small insignia. "Exia, my Headmaster. He and I got caught in some trouble, and more or less, he's permanently attached now. I'm barely keeping the little guy alive." He chuckled before sighing. "And then I went all lone wolf, found your sister, and now you. Who, might I add, is looking better than ever. You know, that tail's good for throwing knives and such, maybe you should upgrade or something again." He mused.

 

"Your optics-to-brain connection must be fouled. And I'm well aware of the LQ-84I. I subcontract with Maverick for security from time to time, and I employ several of them myself. "

She stops for a moment.

"Are you using Nucleon, you dumb fuck? You know that shit is corrosive, right?"

 

He pointed to his back where a familiar white and green pylon was sticking out. "No, I swapped my solar power out for this.... little something from my past." He said before getting the first part. "Oh, and no they're not. Actually I got my optics replaced a while back, I can ZOOM again." He chuckled

 

"What exactly is that on your back? I'm not familiar."

 

"My, original, form had what was called a GN Drive built into him. Well, after a while I got my hands on two, but that form was relatively short lived. Now I have a new one. It converts solar power into energy in the form of particles. Think of it as a solar generator but much stronger. It's strong enough to give me more power than my original solar charger did." He smiled at her a little.

"So you're contracted to Maverick. I think back when I was on the planet I met them a few times. Weird gray haired guy running around with a sword, Exia idolized him. I didn't particularly know about him."

 

"Oh, Jack? I don't interact with him much. I think he's a Liberian or something. Me and Horrorsh - Boris go way back, though. Anyhow, I'm hungry."

 

"Mind if I take you out to lunch or something? I could use some myself."

 

"This isn't a date, understand?"

 

He chuckled and sighed. "You make it sound so wrong if I wanted it to be." He snickered again as he began to walk. "Well I have virtually no clue where to walk."

 

"Try and keep up."

Nemesis runs southward.

 

He wasn't using to not having the alt modes he had grown to love. He clenched his fists and activated his boosters before flying past the femme

 

"About the flirting, it's not that I don't enjoy it...it's just that I don't know you really well. Russians and Kaonians are both only really intimate around their friends and family, y'know? Think about it, have you ever seen me smile in public?"

 

"Um... if I remember correctly, I knew you with a mono eye like that Whirl person... I never saw you smile at all." He said as he walked next to her. "And well, why not take the time to then? Cmon, we'll use dinner as a catch up session." He chuckled
