Honestly, I don't see how lessons weren't learned yet.

I am not super satisfied with these thus far, and no way in hell will I ever place a pre-order without seeing the final product in-hand first.

Knowing TW, there will be "fixes," a "more g1 color" and other add-on's down the line. Let's not forget getting the whole set for $200.00 cheaper.

Agreed, after the all the shenanigans with Constructor's initial release and subsequent reissue I'm inclined to wait this out.

I kinda feel bad for the early adopters of v1 TW Devy. They went through some stuff.

Yes we did, but I still love my Constructor as you can tell if you look to the left.

I'm not in love with these designs like I was with the Constructicons, but they are closer to the source material than the Combaticons and look like they will be fairly good in all three modes. At least the jets are spot on and the limbs look pretty decent while the bots while pretty damn bland, do get the job done.

Now I'm really curious what they do for Silverbolt and for the parts-forming of the combiner. I'm sure the combiner pieces will be just like Constructor and to me that's an excellent thing.

And yeah, this definitely do look like a slightly bigger and better version of TFCs Superion. Like I said though, I really want to see what the finished product looks like as it she'd be vastly superior to Uranos.

I'm just gonna wait on FT for an MP Devs. Neither Gravity Builder nor Constructor really scratches the itch.

That said, the not-MP combiners look promising and nicely G1 (Transformission's Menasor is too IDW for my taste), but I'll wait like others. I almost wanted to get Constructor, then I heard about Long Haul's QC issues.

Same here. I'll wait on FT for devy.

I skipped TFC Uranos entirely and I'm gonna sit back and observe how this plays out. If I'm not satisfied with what I see, my only hope is that FT takes a crack at it.

I'm a Superion Fanboy, really hoping this is good since it's the only offering we'll have for a while.

With all the gaps for standard characters rapidly being filled, MP combiners are the next logical step.

Wonder if MMC will ever do theirs, I recall them teasing several Ocular Max versions of the special teams.

I agree. The g1 combiners team MPs can only be kept on the back burner for so long.

Unlike Bruticus this has some degree of potential. The limbs look decent and the rest is serviceable. Anything wrong with this right now could be fixed. I can't tell if the feeling of "it looks cheap" stems from the yellow light piping or if it's something more pervasive. Perhaps it is psychological since I know it's Toyworld.

None of TW's other not-MPs do anything for me. The hell is with their Springer? But yeah, compared to other 3Ps, their figures always have this overwhelmingly cheap and blocky feel to them.

Hmmmm... Time will only show how good this will be, I ain't go the money right now for this guy and superion isn't a big priority, so about a few months or years will be it. Looks idw +g1 sunbow put together, I think toyworld just needs to paint it or at least a digibash would help. A redesign on vortex and the two aerialbots to make it g1 would be great if they could.

On another note, if a 3P did an MP scale Predaking, I think the fandom would need to change its drawers for a year.

What is TW's obsession with the random panels of clear colors? And why yellow of all colors? I actually think the robot modes look pretty good, not amazing, and not as accurate as possible, but pretty damn good. Jet modes look fantastic. I will be watching this with cautious optimism...but please TW, get rid of those clear parts altogether!

so at first these and the Combaticon ones really shocked me because of how bulky they are, but the more I look at 'em, the more I love him, they're so nice and toy accurate, I'm extremely happy to see they went with the toy accurate face for Fireflight, if they didn't that would have been a huge turn off for me, now I'm really hoping we get to see a Brawl with moving treads!

'Silverbolt' likely going to be ugly, it kind of like his curse. ;)
That figure has to pull off the trick of being a triple-changer with a sleek aircraft alt (SST), a G1 faithful boxy robot mode, and bulky torso for a bulky combiner.
All of the other attempts so far haven't been pretty, at least in jet mode. Thr G1 was a box with a SST stuck on top, others were a jet with an underslung robot in a yoga pose.

The thing is, Motormaster, Hotspot, and Onslaught have bulky alt modes that can incorpotate the bulk and kibble for a combiner torso, ans still look good. Can't do that with a SST.
The only way I see that is some Epic-Level parts-forming for the combiner torso, more than just a chest plate and head.

The other figures so far, are... ok.
Not bad, but not so much of a vast improvement over Uranos.

Worth keeping an eye on still.

I've been pretty dissatisfied with my TFC Aerialbots for some time but after seeing these...things I'm glad I've held onto them. There's miles of room to improve upon TFC's work but TW won't be the one to do it. The only positive I can muster is that they are merely disappointing and not outright garbage like their Combaticons.

    Dedicated arm elbow joints.

Compact wing placement and relative kibble-free design.

    Big solid combiner feet.

Dis gonna be a really really nice Superion. Damn I've waited so long for someone to finally do him right. And I loooove how the individual bots are straight up using the g1 transformations almost exactly.

The giant block foot looks pretty terrible, tbh. Hopefully it's just a placeholder for something more elegant.

I do have hope the combined for will be pretty cool though.
