It's not entertaining trying to find one. I've never had this much trouble finding a console, ever.

I didn't preorder because I wasn't sure I wanted one, and that killed my chances.

Looked like you had a blast playing it. (Honestly though, that would bum me out.)

1 hour timeslots for that testfire is lol. I wouldn't even go through the trouble of downloading that beta.

I did go through the trouble of downloading the snipperclips demo which I played a bit of and was amused until it HARD LOCKED MY SWITCH. Yeah.
Managed to get it to reboot by holding down the power for 20 seconds or so, and promptly deleted that shit off. First issue I've had yet.

You almost need to just buy one wether you want it or not. Then if you don't like it, you can sell it or return it.

Granted it's only the first month, but retailers like Gamestop are already saying they expect demand to outstrip supply all year.

Everyone always insists this won't happen with the next Nintendo platform, and then it always does. Either because they don't produce enough, or they do, but they finally have a hit on their hands again lol. Either way, it's always a struggle with Nintendo.

That's why I just preorder now to be on the safe side because I do *not* ever want to repeat what I did with the NES Classic. That was so frustrating.

I really dislike the preorder game in general and I can't remember the last time I preordered a game or system. Gamestop is so horrendous with preorders it doesn't even matter. If I can't casually walk into a store and buy the product then I usually wait til I can.

Thankfully I was able to casually walk into target on launch day and get a switch, pro controller, and zelda. I dunno if I was just lucky or whatever but I wasn't hunting and it was my first and only stop. If they didn't have it I would have just waited.

At this point I can use a direct. I want to learn about what Nintendo plans on doing with virtual console and a small glimpse of the online. Show us some footage from previously revealed games. Nintendo needs to keep the hype train going.

My guess is they are saving that for E3, so we won't hear much for 2 months.

Aye, just saw on Reddit a quote from reggie saying they have big plans for E3 this year. Looks like they're ditching the direct format!

We knew that, they rented out almost exactly as much floor space at e3 as Sony, which is double what Microsoft rented out.

I finally got my switch yesterday and so far I'm digging it. Trying to find a spot for the dock among all the other TV stuff. Is anyone else concerned that dust is going to be a major factor for these systems in the long term? My house isn't dirty but I've got dogs and cats that are all the time walking by the entertainment center. The dock is going to get kinda gross without a full cover of some sort. Also I feel like the joy con attachments could be prone to dust issues. Same for the little door where the carts go. I have a feeling there will tons in the aftermarket missing the door in a few years. Maybe I'm just paranoid...

To my knowledge they always have a lot of floor space at E3. Directs haven't ever really affected their floor presence, just their "conference".

You bring up this problem a lot. Maybe it's time to get your own place?

I don't know his situation or even his age. Or anything really. But when I was getting older and I had a job and would buy stuff for myself (not even as costly as a Switch) and my parents found out, they'd be pissed. And the reason for this was because I wasn't supposed to be living at my parent's house past a certain age and should have been saving for my own place to live (my dad wanted me out when I was 16, my mom put her foot down and said 18, and when I graduated high school) and when I came home from graduation, my stuff was on the back stoop and the house was locked.

This isn't a pity party or anything, but perhaps his parents are dropping not so subtle hints to stop buying shit and to start saving for his own place.

And, if I'm wrong (which I very well can be, again not knowing the situation) I would just save up anyway and get my own place.

wow I just saw that binding of isaac physical comes with an actual print instruction manual. that game is bought on that alone. I know nothing about that series and don't really care. will support print manuals to the death, and it still shows they can fit nice and neatly into a small switch box.

Lego City Undercover Box Reveals a Mandatory 13GB Install

Ouch. When the mandatory download is almost double the size of the card. If they go by the Wii U total size, this case the card is a 8gb. One would think you're buying a case with the download code in it.

Makes me wonder how much of a difference a 8gb, 16gb, 32gb, etc. Switch card is.

The part that sucks is it being mandatory. Cant buy the game and start playing it if your on the road.

It better be. That's a deal breaker for me. As with any online requirement of any kind, download or no, for a physical copy of a game I can play in single player.

Considering how it says "INTERNET REQUIRED" on the front of the box, looks like I'm sticking with the Wii U version.
