Hey all! I have a question for the community. I've been thinking about starting up a small toy show in Philly. Just one at first, but if it goes well, I'd like to do it regularly. Would anyone here be down to sell recent and vintage toys (not just TF, but TF are perfect!) at a five hour show at Tattooed Mom's on South Street? I have to work out the expenses, but I figure that tables would be in the $30-ish range.
Customs and toy related art would also be welcome!
Please, I'd love to have any thoughts you may have on this.
    Thanks!

Depends on parking (distance and rate) and table cost. Also serious foot traffic expectations. I have a group of a few friends that are looking for a 1-day thing to set up at since NJCC and Retrocon have gone to 2-day shows.

It's great if you can get people in the door, but if they're not buying anything it's a waste to set up. If you want to take it to PMs I can get more specific.

Maybe. Though South St would be horrible for setup. Parking in the area is the worst, I drove over a hour looking for a spot then left.

There's no arguing that the parking situation is a hassle. I've been to a number of successful craft shows there though, so it's not impossible. People would need to bring smaller set ups than they would bring to a show like NJCC or Retrocon. It would be more like a big meetup with tables.

Would anyone be interested in an informal collecting/customizing meet up at Atomic City- the comic shop at 638 South Street? They're into hosting stuff like this.

This Saturday at noon. Come out, buy sell and trade. You guys know the drill. I think it's like $16.00 all you can eat. Great food, good times. Also feel free to bring other toy lines as this group collects all sorts of toys. See you guys then.

It was $19.99 last Saturday. Likely won't be able to be there myself but I'll definitely encourage everyone to go out and get some unicorn meat.

So, who is planning on meeting up for the Transformers movie?

Can we make this into a full on meetup?

Ah, old Neshaminy Mall. Waxing nostalgic;) .
The theater and arcade were in the same corner back in what I refer to as "The Day". I remember waiting over an hour in line for Batman in '89 after playing some Spy Hunter and Mat Mania.

Philly Meetup. Let's do this, it's been awhile. I'm up for a meet up in South Philly. 3rd and Oregon....302 W Oregon Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19148. The Diner there has some great foodl. Great food, great times, buy sell trade discuss transformers other toys, you know the drill. Now let's discuss possible dates for this. And also discuss a possible meetup at Zolocon in Warminster Pa. I have a table set for this toy show.
