I've only ordered from amazon jp once, and Dhl just left the package on the porch, even though it said signature required on the tracking page. I was surprised.

Heck, Takara might be making Transformers in Murica. That's how we know that Murica is great again.

    Mine needed a signature.
I may end up taking the confirmed delivery day off from work, just in case my girlfriend needs to work.

One day I did something similar and Fedex didn't even bother ringing the bell.

You can waive the signature online. I did that this last time, I was home anyway but was afraid I would get one of those "phantom knocks", so they left if at my side door per my instructions.

I don't get it. You want to pay 200 USD as opposed to 170 plus? Well more power to you I guess.

Hope it gets delayed to mid-April or even mid-May.

The exchange-rate is currently just very crappy right now...

Actually it might get crappier then. I foresee the Yen at 90 by the end of the year. Next year though ....

Exactly. I'll start worrying when it's above 100. I bought and shipped a PG Gundam model back in 2012 when it was 125, and boy was that painful.

    But, 125 is a great rate! :D
    We're at 111 now and it's dropping.

Exactly, I think some people don't understand exchange rate conversion. Basically the higher the numerical value of the Yen, the better it is for people paying in USD, EUR because that means your money buys more Yen.

I really want that 125 rate right now instead of the crappy 110 (and going even lower) it's currently at...

I think when i went to Japan 2 years ago it was about 127? wish I had that last summer, it was cheaper getting over there and getting a room though.

Sorry, I was going yen to dollar, not dollar to yen, and using a shortcut notation I use in my head. Right now (today) 1 yen = 0.0090 dollar, which I called '90'. Dollar to yen today is 1:110.8 (now I see where your number comes from). When the Y : D ratio is 1:0.0100 (with me calling the 0.0100 '100') we 'break even'. If it goes to 1:0.0125 (which I called 125) like in 2012, we're screwed.

So while I wasn't exactly doing it wrong, I was just coming at it from the opposite frame of reference (which, in hindsight, doesn't make much sense). Aren't you glad I'm not an accountant?

Almost only a week away from shipping notices!!!
