I agree mate and it has to be Cybertron because of the whole Cinematic universe that the writers have created.

My guess is that Quintessa has taken over the husk of what's left of Cybertron and she's brought it back to Earth to use it to scoop up what resources she can to try and bring the planet back together. I'm betting there's some gnarly Cybertronian tech hidden around the world that the Autobots don't even know about, but she does and she plans to use it.

I mean, look at the pyramids at Giza, they held the sun harvester.

OR...they plan on wrapping it AROUND Earth and fusing the two planets together to make one.

I'm still saying that the planet everyone thinks is Cybertron is actually big Tractor. I looks as though it dragging across the surface of the earth. If a planet had been Cyberformed, this is how you could take the ore from the surface and harvest it.
I know 99.9% of you will disagree, but it could just be CALLED unicron, but not be a transformer. It could just be a tool used by Quintessa to harvest Transformium. That way Bay get's unicron in the movies, without having to deal witht he scale issue. This falls apart a bit if the Animated movie is being made specifically for this reason - to introduce unicron without having to try and remain somewhat 'realistic'.

Also, it's possible that the 'familiar' planet we see them on is the moon, and they need to go back to the Ark for some reason.

What? See who on? You mean the scenes with the soldiers, Cade and crew running on the surface? There is no way that's the moon. They would die lol. No atmosphere on the moon remember ;)

Did anyone else notice that Izzy and Laura Haddock can be seen behind that hexagonal, Cybertronian structure Hound is standing on while facing an unknown enemy on what is presumably Cybertron?

Also, I had always assumed it, but that cannon Cade and Laura are running by on Cybertron's surface is similar to the cannon Megatron is walking by in the first trailer. Regardless of what his role is, I have no doubt Megatron will play some role on the Cybertron battle.

Finally, what I'm really curious about is who is helming the Knightship? It could be Quintessons, Quintesson-controlled Knights (including possibly Optimus), or Decepticons. I am down for any of those choices.

Unless June 23rd is tomorrow, it can't possibly get here fast enough

Well we don't know the full context of that scene, but it seems like Cybertron's extremities are pulling up pieces of the British countryside in that shot. That makes me think whoever is in it is likely involved in some way in the renovation of Cybertron. I can't rule out Autobots being in the ship, but I find it more likely to be villains in control of the ship, whether they're Decepticons or Quintesson-related.

    Granted, this is just guesswork.

LOL NO.. I didn't say that those scenes with the soldiers are on the moon! I was quoting someone where they mentioned a quote that said the third act would see our characters returning to a 'familiar' planet. I was saying that Cybertron isn't the only other 'Familiar' planet in the series. The moon played a big part in the movies and the Ark is still on it (I think). They haven't necessarily shown us any of those scenes yet.
IMO The scene with the soldiers is still on earth, but on one of those alien structures. When we see people on the surface of another planet, they could be inside some kind of suit.

    The moon isn't a planet, though. It's a moon.

We do though see the Ark being destroyed in the Super Bowl shot.

True, though it is planetsized. And a moon is only a moon then it orbits a larger planet.
    Ok, astronomy-mode off. :p

Yeah, I also have thought that might end up as the resolution. Though there's still apart of me that thinks that Cybertron might surprisingly end up as a the surviving planet.

I've mainly considered this possibility because how many negative factors appear with Earth's survival. Cybertron is causing so much destruction in its attempt with what I believe to be a merge with Earth. There's also a highly likely chance the moon was destroyed considering you actually see part of the destroyed Ark on Earth. Basically it seems no matter the outcome, Earth is screwed either way. This also means that Cybertron surviving would be the better scenario.

It was a passing comment a guy made - people still class the moon as a planet (even though it's not, admittedly), but I'm sure he wasn't thinking of the technical detail of what he was saying when he said it. We don't even know that he (or she.. not sure who said it) is aware that it isn't actually a planet.

I was just pointing out that the Cybertron isn't the only planet-like thing that is familiar to us in these movies.

Well, we know that Cade and the one girl are back on the KnightShip/Lockdown's ship. The one scene in the trailer is them in the Knight's Templar or whatever it was called where Cade got the Cybertronian gun in AOE. You can see the Knights and what looks like the "cell" that OP was put in by Lockdown.

Remember those plot details from TFWiki that said there was a junkyard where dead Transformers were discarded but not all were truly dead? And that one kid says "Y'all want to see some dead robots?" I'm guessing the kids stumble on that junkyard early on.

Transformers like Earth so much that they turn their own planet into it.
