Just to be sure... is the whole "\'" thing going on in some posts is because of a phone posting thing? Otherwise it's really annoying.

I post with my iPad. And I did not type those /s. Let me try this: \"I\'m annoyed too.\"

While I loved last issue, there\'s already a few things that have me going like \"ehhh...\" Namely Soundwave saying \"Operation: Insurrection.\" Like, first of all, an Insurrection isn\'t exactly the best terminology for what\'s going on, second of all, Soundwave, why do you keep doing this, stop pretending you\'re some kind of computer, you\'re literally like a regular guy. I\'m not a fan of how Soundwave has been stripped of some of his mechanical personality, but at least settle on one or the other instead of trying to mesh two distinct incarnations of the character together. The other thing that bothered me is the whole \"The Cybertronians have betrayed us again!\" Just

    UURRRRRGGHHH

Just get over it, for fucks sake. Humans aren\'t mentally handicapped, we can read a situation just fine, why do the humans in this comic never make any logical sense of anything? For once I actually miss the military advantage the Autobots had in the Transformers movies, because at least then you had human characters that understood basic shit and knew how to react.

And those name tags are possibly the most annoying thing since \"My name is Drift.\" Like, \"Optimus Prime. Savior?\" Holy shit? Really? Glad Optimus Prime #5 was kind enough to tell me who that big red guy is, and for the writer to hammer in the fact that Optimus made a questionable decision by literally putting a floating nametag captioned with \"Saviour (question mark?)\"

Otherwise things seem cool. I like that Arcee is getting a bit into her Pre-Jhiaxus past. Especially with the talk of her home land/province/etc. Glad to see Cosmos is still alive. No idea what the point of anything Jazz is doing, though.

Why do I have the same comment posted twice, in between ten minutes? Unless it's because I refreshed this page. It still doesn't make any sense for a forum page to do that. Anyway...

There are things that's a bit awkward, like Soundwaves speech pattern. I remember I was really confused by Soundwave calling Optimus his old friend (I still am because I haven't seen them being too friendly in the flashbacks). I'm okay with the name tags tho, because I know what they are trying to achieve and sometimes they are funny. If not, they are at least goofy and I have soft spot for these. I really like those comics, but well, nothing is perfect I guess.

Edit: And the overall good definitely outweighs the small imperfections. That where Barber is good at imo. He thinks big.

They are, though? The president's response to that makes it pretty clear she sees this wasn't some plan of theirs, and none of the human forces are attacking the Autobots, just the Junkion ship. It's just one politician being a jerk.

Kei Zama is the first TF artist that has me genuinely considering buying the trade, just to have her artwork to hand. For my money, she produces panels that one can pore over - a feast for the eyes - where Pitre-Durocher and Lawrence are more bread-and-butter artists, simply telling the story. Milne is sort of in between - seems to depend on the script.

Uneasy about this issue though. It's shaping up to be a typical Barber-ian arc - all great set-up and intrigue, leading to a cluttered and unsatisfying fallout. Part of the problem is that his characters don't know when to stop carping. They carp as the tension builds, which makes sense, but then they keep carping when the shit hits the fan, when they should be proving their mettle through their actions. And Arcee just isn't interesting enough at the moment to merit an inner monologue. Her defining trait at the moment in terms of character growth is how far she'll go to save Sideswipe - that's all we need to hear about, not her pontifications about leaders and heroes.
