You may try hitting up an Asian store then, I saw them selling the Kinder eggs at the Asian store I frequently visit for my groceries. I knew in the back of my head though that these were illegal and that they shouldn't be selling them haha...Thanks for double verifying for me.

I spotted these in B&M Homestores in the UK on Feb 19th. They were 5 UK pounds. Alas I haven\'t opened mine yet (something about having to wait until Easter)!

If Kinder just makes their chocolate egg in 2 parts and adds a lip around the plastic container, to keep those 2 chocolate parts from melting together and forming a solid shell, then they most likely could sell their products in America like Yowie and Choco Treasure have been able to do so. Nestle Wonderball can sell hollow chocolate shells because their balls just contain more edible candy inside and not an inedible plastic object. The whole reason we can't have Kinder here is because years ago, Nestle Wonder balls were like Kinder, a hollow chocolate shell surrounding a plastic toy-containing capsule. Kids tried to eat them whole and in doing so, choked to death on the balls. But now, years later, Yowie and Choco Treasure have figured out a way around the choking hazard by simply designing the chocolate shell as 2 halves separated by a plastic lip on the container, and in doing so, took the potential American market away from Kinder (it also didn't help that for years Kinder got bad press from American media outlets for their potential choking hazard).

    WHAAAAAAAAT. News?

Anyway I bought one, and already eaten it. The 'giant' inside came with a wrist launcher toy, and cardboard target of Underbite and a really nice little Bumblebee (non transforming) figure.

Aimed at really young kids mostly. Still fun that hasbro tagged up with them. The USA is sue-mania. No wonder these are barred in the USA. But you got to be insane not realizing that the plastic container isn't edible. But maybe here people are more aware of their surroundings and objects in their lives.

One slight shake of the kinder egg and you can hear and feel that something is inside. World Market sells kinder chocolate, but with kinder eggs, it's like the perfect, equal amount of chocolate. Those sticks can be too much. I miss kinder eggs.

Why should Kinder change their ways just for the US market?  The rest of the world seems to allow them with no problems.  Allow kinder eggs and ban guns, America.  You\'re doing it wrong.

Build a wall, use the chocolate for cement, and make the Caniformias pay for it.

Agreed but when they were spotted be me a month ago and that wasn't even the first sighting, it's old news at best.

Sorry, my good sir. I didn't see your post. Otherwise would have front paged in an instant. But I'll give you the news credit... you earned it.

If you (or anyone else) find anything which you think is Front Page worthy AND you've not posted it on 'News & Rumors' sub-forum, hit the link below (select News Tip prefix) and submit with a link back to the thread/post. That way, the TFW2005 Newsies get and alert. We usually hang around the 'News & Rumors' sub-forum looking for new posts but may not be around much elsewhere on the site unless specifically assigned to and therefore may not catch your new posts.
