Just to clarify for any listeners who might not know, the reason that Necro looks like Tailgate is because in Trypticon's first appearance, in the Marvel comics, he had a scout car named Wipe-Out who's appearance was based off of Tailgate's toy.

I don't know if it's because I didn't grow up with G1 or what, but Trypticon's "T-Rex" mode has never wowed me.
A lot of the the features of the titan class figure are selling me on it, but as a design I think Trypticon is my least favorite cityformer.
It's just a boring gray robot Godzilla, and robotic Godzilla knockoff is a field with far more interesting takes on the concept.
I thought his War for Cybertron design was a huge improvement, if maybe a bit too humanoid.

Still think the titan class figure looks like a cool toy, and I think "G1 with joints" is working out amazing for a lot of the other 1986+ dudes(including the clones).

RE: Rescue Bots needs updated toys
YES. Rescue Bots is a funny thing. My son was moderately interested in Transformers, like all other boys he likes Lego and Minecraft and Pokemon and watches Marvel and DC cartoons and of course he likes Transformers, but he was never interested in any of the older lines or cartoons. He's seen the G1 cartoon and couldn't possibly care less. He was about 5 or maybe 6 when the RB cartoons tarted. He loved it then and still loves it now. He loves RiD even though I can't be bothered to watch it. Even though he loves RB, he's 9 now and the toys just aren't geared toward 3rd/4th graders that grew up watching the show. They really need something along the lines of RiD/Generations deluxes for at least the main 4 RB characters, or at the least they could do some legends molds to get started.

    I'm a motherfuckin' Scornboy

Sorry. I've been hearing that song everywhere for the last few months and it's the first place my brain went when Vangelus started using that term.

I still think it sounds like the name of a Jamaican dance hall DJ.

Team Bee combiner from RID is a four figure combiner, sorta. It was clearer in the CAD drawings that Drift becomes the sword that giant Bee uses. For the toy, the sword is just molded in orange.
