Anyone else bothered with how they aren't just promoting internally?

Hiring a random outsider to suddenly run the TF Global brand? Sorry, but that explains a lot of the problems with TFs... the core competencies are generic and not at all tailored to the specific product or category. You end up with someone who is good at marketing, but not necessarily good at marketing TFs - sometimes it works out; other times, it silently hemorrhages the company.

Marketing? Cause I don't recall a "Global Brand Marketing" degree program! :lol  Sorry, but as a graduate of marketing, I have to forewarn you: your only future is SALES. :(  There are virtually NO entry-level marketing jobs. And since Hasbro is clearly NOT promoting from within, the trend continues.

Agreed, looks like a great opportunity.

From his LinkedIn, Warden is a Design Manager: https://www.linkedin.com/in/john-warden-02643013

his title = Toy Design Manager in the Fruiticus Designer Desk video:

The program I'm in is Business Management, with a course in Marketing. I may not be qualified by Hasbro's standards but I know the brand and have a good idea what the fans like and don't like. Something I mentioned in my cover letter.

    Ebay:
The candidate they are looking for just have years of experience bringing merchandise from ideas to packaged foods in a global scale. None of us here are qualified. If we were, we'd already be doing it.

well actually sales and marketing is pretty much the same thing in any company, for example, the company that i'm working for, dont have a marketing team... but they have a sales team, but they arent actually sales person but rather doing marketing stuff like looking at sales figure, figuring out the best way to sell the company's new product and talk to any company that might be interested..
