Just ordered Carnifex from Kapow. You only live once and I ain't missing out on that gorgeous looking fucker especially when it means I'll have two highly stylised takes on Masterforce's key villains.

    GODFUCKINGBOMBER!!! :lol :lol :lol

Anyone got any quick thoughts on TR Perceptor vs the Generations one?

I'm not sure I can justify a second deluxe at today's prices?

It's Sentinel he executes, Megs he just casually tears into like any self respecting one armed stone cold would. Both offer surrender.

Sadly, almost everything about the movies is about as subtle as a headbutt in a chippy at 3am, but I'd like to think that Prime's behaviour is borne out of constant years of war and trauma taking its toll. A script that marries that to the visuals and voice acting would be gravy, though his waking up in AOE was handled well.

Thanks for the correction. It would be cool to see that kind of Prime develop in TLK if its true.

    Thanks man :thumb

I really liked the figure, well in bot mode anyway, didn't quite get to experience lion mode before it all went wrong.
It's super posable and really stable when you get it posed right. The swords are lovely, both solid metal and look great. All the other accessories are class too, with two guns (each with 2 forms) and a whip/flail thing made from the tail.
Only issue mine had (apart from my self inflicted one) was that one of the elbow joints was a bit loose, but i have seen that other folks have had more issues.
What says it all for me though is that even if i don't get it fixed, i'm still considering getting the KO when it comes out. The black one does look very nice.

    random toyshow thoughts -
Trypticon looks amazing, but literally have nowhere for him to go, so likely to be a pass (sadface)
will definitely pick up the TLK megs - they look amazing for movie figs..
completely in for pretty much everything else TR related (hopefully Nautica is just a really badly painted proto - looks almost radioactive in the photos)
RID combiners are a little hit or miss - kinda remind me of a evolution from the PCC's? - definitely be picking up menasor as long as he doesnt' cost an arm and a leg (Badum-tish!)
really hope Kapow have some wve 4 left by the weekend - payday toy splurge is calling..

Just some Monday Mid-Morning speculation on my part but perhaps he's one of the cards they've held to their chest to play at NuBotcon where there'll be proportionally more TF-focussed nerdcore in attendance to appreciate the mainline appearance of a beloved SCAvenger! than the mix of public and purchasers at Toyfair?
I know you could say why drop Nautica there then? As she is equally a comics darling but if, as I surmise, retail is the key focus of Toyfair she's also the more easily generally marketable/saleable to those without the background character knowledge as you can just lob out the not-so-old 'look this traditionally boy-centric toyline is getting more inclusive/look a new *female* character' as well as being a part of one of the line's big ticket items, which we've seen all of this years at Toyfair as, like a car show, they've made sure to debut the top of their line to hook the dealers.
To retailers/dealers Misfire is just a pink dude.

Sucks dude. If it helps any, the release of Xerxes has improved joints and tolerances across the board by all accounts, plus he has a unihorn and his name backwards is Sexrex.

I wish I could mix & Match. The Black torso looks sweet with the blue detailing. But the white brings out the machine parts detailing on the legs better. I'm really hoping the KO is out by then. I've seen two original PE Leos go for £100 each on eBay in the last month so the price is coming down a bit, maybe because of the anticipated KOs

Oh good, ANOTHER flat tyre. That's just brilliant.

I personally much prefer the TR one on my TFTM shelf. But then I was never a fan of the Gen figure, so...

Actually lol'd at Sexrex :lol  Thankfully the rest of the office is out on their teabreak :lol

And i had not noticed the unihorn, that is brilliant! If it's anything like the sharpness of the lion teeth, it should be classed as a leathal weapon

Well, the wife has just text to tell me that the washing machine has given up the ghost yet again.

Anyone in the market for a MP Argos-warp or MP Grimlock (AoE reissue) at all? Both are boxed with instructions and accessories.

Cheers Napalm - I've got high expectations, but first impressions are he looks very good and hits a nostalgia spot. As a kid I had slugslinger but always wanted Triggerhappy after watching the rebirth.
He definately looks the part, looking forward to messing with him later :thumb

Started the day feeling crappy as I'd been ill during the night and not slept much so the arrival of the Iron Factory Blitzwing I bought from Loosecannon helped improve my mood, IF love great headsculpts almost as much as Swerve loves a quest and the rest of the robot mode isn't too shabby either :)

he's light, but he transforms without fuss and doesn't have untabbing shoulders. he looks the part far more than the RTS version did that's for sure.

Only thing is that the scope is limited to going over his left shoulder as opposed to the right, if you can live with that he is a far more fun toy.

I've found I can transform the TR version in the same amount of time as the legs of the RTS one.

J4zz is a terrific figure. I would say that Downbeat just has him pipped, though. But you're onto a winner either way.
