But in all seriousness, its a damned shame its $600.............. I would be all over that if it was a lot less. I've dropped some serious cash on a few figures, but its a damned lamp....

 

While I do understand that going from Generations-Masterpiece figures to this in price is a huge step, as someone who collects high end statues, this is a pretty fair price for a statue of this size and detail, with all the light up features.

The term "lamp" does seem a bit misleading but maybe that's how they're able to get the license? Im definitely planning on adding it to my. Ollie toon as long as it's not a hassle to get one.

First statue that I know of made by this company plus those pics are really dark. Seems risky to pre-order.

big question tho.... why is unicron standing on a stand with a decepticon symbol?

 

This has been a topic of debate since it was first shown. Could it be something as dumb as Soldier Story saying, "well, he's a big evil guy the Autobots are fighting so he must be a Deception"? Who knows, its dumb but it doesn't bother me as much as it does others, as long as the symbol's not on Unicron himself, I'm OK with it.

It's nice but I'll stick with my Hard Heroes statue. $800 is bordering on "I really don't want to be married anymore" territory.

 

just as well i am single and plan on staying that way   never getting into another relationship again the last time the person i was with gave me a wonder daughter but she was enough to put me off relationships for the rest of my life and i was only with her for 7 years felt like double that  

 

I can sympathize. My wife is very cool about my collection and encourages me to get the rest (within reason). She can name the bots on sight and can do the Universal Greeting...she's cool like that.

That said, I don't want to say "I'd really like this $800 lamp" to her. I could probably get away with it if I pushed it but honestly, it's just too much money for me anyhow to even sleep well at night knowing I spent that much on it, let alone getting a "What are you high or just stupid?" look from her if I did.

 

Even though Unicron is not a decepticon, he still wants the autobot matrix destroyed, it being the only thing that can stop him. And he branded Galv/Cyc/Scourge with decepticon logos, even though they now 'belong to him'.

And Unicron influenced the Fallen/Megatronus into becoming the first decepticon. With Unicron being as involved with decepticons as he has, he might as well have the emblem on his stand.
