Actually, paint him blue and he would make a good (albeit uncharacteristically bewildered) Overlord.

Welp, this looks like the best Windblade figure so far.

 

I like the RiD one better.

 

Yep, and I'm definitely picking her up.  

I'm hoping Takara will repaint her in Slipstream just like they did with Generations Windblade.  

 

I wouldn't discard that Warrior just yet. You can never have to many Windblades... Well I can't, I love her.

 

This one feels like it throws around too many concessions to whatever mold-sharing it does or might do for me. If the head looks half as good as the titanmaster close-up render though, it could be the closest to a Sarah Stone styled 'Blade yet.

 

You think so? I am not really a fan, honestly. It's certainly better than their first pass, but I am not wild about the headmaster gimmick and the robot mode looks oddly proportioned. I will keep an eye out though.

 

What is it about Gatorface? His legs are the wrong way round on his official images:

Hm... nah. Legends LG-13 is still the best one IMO. The RID figure is a bit too cartoony looking for me and this TR one is the worst of them all. The swords are awful, overall body is rather weird looking and I've figured out the transformation after looking at it for 10 seconds, it's basic and boring.

Basically everything I don’t want in a Transformer.

 

A couple of things can be said for this TR Windblade though :

- She's deluxe sized. Will go well next to my Takara Nightbird.
- This TR Windblade features more blocky shapes, rather than the IDW stylized curves. Since I don't care for IDW, I'm fine with this style which blends nicely with the rest of TR.
