...do you think they will reissue thundercracker?..MP-11T's on my acquisition list for this spring, but it'd be nice to know if a reissue's coming before committing to secondary market prices... ...both were originally limited to 2000 pieces, i believe, and released about six months apart...
Upgraded? Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure. $229USD?! Yeah right! On sale for $189USD? Nah they can still keep it! If I was in the market for another Skywarp I'd get the KBB version which actually comes with a Coronation Set for $79. Oh wait- after carefully viewing some more pics of KBB Skywarp and comparing them to this Takara version, I now see where those upgrades are- its in those 6 little paint stripes and gun accents official tampos. That $.025 in factory paint clearly adds $100USD to the MSRP.
It is. I have both the original release and the reissue. The purple paint (on his wings, tail fins and feet) is consistent, but the purple plastic is much more of a magenta. In certain light, it looks downright hot pink. I was hugely disappointed in this copy. If you can get the original release, I'd recommend that by a wide margin.
I own the V1... and I don't regret getting it for a high price when looking at the V2's (great) pictures!
I paid $240 including shipping for MP11 starscream from US retailer to U.K. and got a customs charge for $80 so $320 all together. Never again!! The week after they announced the 3rd reissue for $135 in UK. I've noticed USA Retailers are a Rip-off for 1st issue. In the U.K. You could easily pick up for $160-$180 however most MP are sold out. I just feel that if we paying such high prices for licenced transformers then Takara should invest more in QC. Ive notice the newer MP have little or no diecast and paint but we are paying crazy prices. Hopefully we will get some good quality MP's in the future. Fingers crossed. Bless the fans.
Forgot to mention that SC was the 2nd reissue for $320. My other highest price figure was MP10eva at $400 but this is a rare piece so I guess it's ok. Waiting on MP34,35,36,37,38
Agreed, 3P is the way to go. Was toying with KBB as the deep purple looks nice, but not sure about the wing stripes going back to the G1 design?
BBTS and TFSource didn't even bother to change their pictures for this V2. This is very disappointing from them. You save movey and get nice figures, going the KO route... but a bootleg is a bootleg. Just my opinion.
