Maybe it's the White Balance, because the colors are a bit different than what we saw before. The rust is more prominent and there is rust on the shield where the previous pics didn't had.

Such a ripoff for anyone that pays $60+ for that thing. It's just a barely painted repaint of an obsolete figure covered in some bad washes. So bad.

I pretty much knew the released toy wouldn't be painted as nicely as what we saw. Not sure I like this, but it's not as bad as i feared it might end up.

YIKES! Optimus should've used that shield to block all the flaming poop bags.

Edit: It's amazing how much different lighting cam change the look of a figure. Definitely the same figure, just now the bare biceps seem more pronounced and the dry brush looks really bad.

To be fair, it's been determined that mistransformation was on purpose so the VW logo is visible in official product shots.

I just wish Hasbro would use the same size Masterpiece Boxes as Takara. Takara's makes it a lot easier.

That's one of the few reasons why the MP of hasbro are cheaper than the TT's ones.

I'm looking forward to the Prime so I can actually enjoy the figure without having to worry about chrome flaking.

He's stated to be "masterpiece sized" judging by that, and the size of this guy's phone compared to it (and the size of the screws in the official pics)
    IMG_2082.PNG

I'm going with about the size of a standard carbot,

Thx for the pic, looks really like a carbot size, imagine the size of a blackout or even better, A GRINDOR MP.

Quite possibly so big as to necessitate not being in the same scale.

Check the original post, I was referring to a hypothetical mp movie 1 prime. Which would have similar engineering to RotF leader prime. There are only so many ways to get from that truck to that bot mode after all.

Actually no-electronics it's great idea, the original leader prime (rotf) hasn't a skinny profile because of that.
