    Wow.
I never realized how well these fit in with a CHUG display. I just might have to entertain this.

Same here, I always thought they were bigger till it was pointed out in a thread I was reading that they were roughly voyager sized

I've snapped one or two pegs on their accessories - but only when plopping them in the hands of other figures.

They are a nice size for CHUG or MPs (in my opinion). My only issue is they are about the same size as classics Prime...

and you can't have these guys standing should to shoulder with the big guy ;) .

I'd go on record to say they are the best figures in terms of quality igear produced.

    Perhaps a little.

    - at the 15.14 mark, they show it as being a smidge shorter than FOC Blaster - which is about a head bigger than classics prime (I think).

Regardless igear ratchet & Ironhide are awesome.

People are so different - I am a bit sad I sold off mine. I was hoping to get one to scale with my mostly MP collection, but so far, I do not like any of the options. Meanwhile my Weapon Specialist was super-cool, but also gone for some time.

(I'll have to chalk that up to Ironhide just having a visually boring design, and the more cartoon accurate it gets, the more bland and dumblooking it gets)

Was it my post in the Planet-X thread?

Well, as mentioned, yes, the headlights come off. I just glued mine on. If it was my posts, then you also know about filling/cutting/dremeling off a little plastic where the front bumper is pinned. That will allow you to swing it forward just a little more. You don't want to take too much off, just enough to get the clearance to fold the side panels in over the wheels when you're in bot mode.

Also, not an issue but a subjective preference, I hate those stupid grill guards. They can easily be removed, with a few screws, though.

It's really classics prime's fault. He's too short for a voyager.
Toyworld Orion, mp10v, combiner wars prime - all are good size voyagers and look great next to the specialists

These guys were great for their time, they made a nice stand-in. Mine have long since been packed away though, as I don't think they fit the MP line anymore. In fact if anyone wants them, shoot me a PM and make me an offer lol (within the UK preferably).

God, I remember getting eviscerated and called a troll on this thread for suggesting way back when that these might scale better in CHUG than MP. You see people basically giving them away, now.

I love mine; I still have them on my shelf and mess with them quite regularly. I think that they still do a tremendous job of accurately portraying the characters, especially Ironhide. They're going to be tough to top, and it's been years. Anyone who was worried that the panels-bending-around-panels transformation scheme had nothing to worry about in the end, either; I haven't found a single stressmark yet.

All in all, iGear made some terrific products, but they were the absolute kings of release-delay until Beelzeboss showed up, and smaller producers like GCI and Nonnef attempted the game. It was worth it in the end, though. The Specialists are legendary 3P toys, IMO.

They work for both my MP and classics display. Sure beat any alternatives available.

Well, then in addition to the pic of Ironhide I put there, please enjoy these to keep you going until Tuesday.

Ratchet (Medical Specialist) with MP Ironhide and KBB's MP10v (Voyager-sized MP-10 KO). I think Abyss is slightly taller than an MP car, if that helps (but for $50-$60 I do highly recommend MP10v).

Ratchet with the Classics versions of Wheeljack and Optimus.

Action shot of Ratchet. Here, you can also see the panel I was talking about (under his arm, with the red stripe, can be modded to fold back).

Vehicle shots with MP Wheeljack and MP10v. Like I said, I'm not a fan of the grill guard, but it's just held in place with a screw on the other side of the bumper and can easily be removed.

And so Ratchet doesn't get all the fun, Ironhide (Patrol Specialist) with Classics Prime and Wheeljack.
