I'd be curious to see G1 Octane repainted as Optimus Prime now! Or Classics Tankor...

This is best read in Chris Latta's Starscream voice.

Bbts is awesome at fixing these kinds of issues. My cw devy was missing a cab, I had my part in less than a week. They are Spendy but good customer service makes up for it.

One question-how about a picture of the body without the head? and can the extra ears be stowed away when the head is on? I think thats the only thing holding me back from this figure, aside from not wanting to replace my current Prime just generally.

Yes, the ears can stow. They're a bit sensitive, but they push down into the torso and release when you push on the chest grill.

Headless pic - not easy to do right now as I'm hitting a busy period IRL. Will see what I can do "quick and dirty".

I'm fortunate enough to own this fiddly bugger, and I can say I much prefer him with his head fins in the down position (they're activated by a switch on the torso) and his shoulder posts folded back, looks more Optimus to me. And it'll distinguish him from the (crosses fingers) Combatron Scourge when I have that..

Waist swivel.. I genuinely can't remember! I'll have to have a fiddle when I get home tonight.

He's a nice figure, tho storing the tailfin in the cab front is a nightmare to do, never seems to fit at all, and I hate that they used foil stickers instead of tampos or paint, it's a money saving exercise that'll ensure in ten years time this figure will look like garbage in all but his robot mode. Sad face. I still like him tho. Now get me an evil repaint, Takara!

Better than headless would be with the ears tucked away, if its not too much trouble :D

Literally the very first thing I thought when I saw the figure. I'll pick it up just to do that since my Blitzwing and Astrotrain are missing their fellow triple changer.

Power Master Optimus prime was originally conceived as a triple changer. The cab would've transformed into a plane as well as a robot. I think the closes to a actual triple changing Prime is Galaxy Convoy who had a 'flight mode'.

Isnt it 2 prime and 2 Megatron per case?

I mostly want Diac and the sword:/, the robot mode is too wobbly and messy.

    Notes:

    1) wings are mistranformed, unfortunately the correct version makes that mode suck even more
    2) the black gun can be clipped on top of the yellow window

Is Scourge from Robots in Disguise a reincarnation of Scourge from G1. I always wanted to know, the article says in the cartoon that Scourge is an Optimus Clone, so that would mean that he is not the Scourge from G1 and they didn't change the character.

Well, there is Robotmasters Reverse Convoy. From Tank to Optimus to Megatron. Technically a triple-changing Optimus Prime, but I know not quite exactly what you meant. :)

I want this mold, but I want a Takara deco. I need more and better paint, especially on the rims. Where and when is that happening?

I didn't know his wings could be positioned out in robot mode. Should look nice on Octane.

Nope, not being harsh at all....

I have no interest in any of those OP's in the pic's. Heck, in the past 10 years of being a collector I only replaced my original Classic's OP with the newer Classics version that had the Chrome paint.

It's almost as if they're making them flawed to guarantee the ongoing sale of newer versions. It's why we haven't had quality G1 Voyager class Seekers that scale in the CHUG lineup yet.
